Kapitel 6: Chapter 06

Terror and Fear. those were the emotions deeply engrained in every living being. fear is a fire that burns cold, it can freeze you helpless or push you to muster the courage to see the dawn of another day

But terror manifests in many forms… such as when you stand between the jaws of the beast and realize that the end never felt so near, an acknowledgment of the futility of any effort or will.

This was how Chu Yueli felt, as she froze under the presence of something unknown, something that defied her level of understanding, she felt as if the heaven and the earth were closing on her to crush her into nothingness.

'' YUANBA!!, YUANBA STOP IT, SHE'S BLEEDING '' Qingyue was quick to notice what happened as she shouted.

Radhan snapped out of it at the voice of his sister and withdrew his presence. He stood uncaring, watching the foolish woman fainting and hitting the ground.

Qingyue quickly rushed to the woman's side and helped her lay properly on the ground, then looked at her brother and questioned

'' Yuanba, why did you react so badly? You know, I'm not that weak to not notice her, her intentions were clear to my heart and she bore no ill will ''

"She should've approached you differently and didn't try to grab you directly," Radhan replied nonchalantly.

Qingyue stared impassively at her overprotective brother, but she didn't show the warmth she felt inside.

She picked the woman up and said, "Now that she's unconscious, we can't leave her here. We should bring her back with us."

Radhan agreed. "Okay, let's take her with us, and question her when she wakes up, let me carry her."

He then went forward to pick up the woman, threw her over his shoulder, and headed home, ignoring the eyes and the whispers that followed them as they went.

Once they arrived at the mansion, they caused a commotion at the gate and the guards gave Radhan who was carrying the mature woman on his back a weird look.

Qingyue noticed their gaze and felt a bit embarrassed, so she had to clarify

'' err, we found her unconscious down the street. we couldn't leave her in her state, so we brought her home. ''

The head guard had a look of understanding and said '' Young lady is very kind, please let me know if you need any help, the guards are at your service."

Qingyue forced a smile on her face as she said, "I'll keep that in mind, thank you for your work."

They traveled the winding walkways and reached her courtyard, once they entered, Radhan laid the woman on the bed then turned to his sister with a sly smile on his face, and said teasingly

'' My dear sister, I didn't know that you could bluff like that without hesitation, I discovered a new side to you today ''

'' it's all your fault!, how am I supposed to clarify the situation? Should I say hey look, we knocked her unconscious and brought her home?" Qingue snapped back indigently.

'' Haha alright alright, let's wait for her to wake up '' after teasing her a little, he brought two chairs and sat next to the bed.

'' Do you think she'll attack once she wakes up '' Qingyue inquired as she wiped the blood stains from the woman's nose.

'' No, she won't. She should've realized her error, before she went cold ''

"I hope it goes as you said '' Qingyue whispered and she sat down next to him waiting.

Chu Yueli came to her senses with a strong headache assaulting her, her mind felt a mess, and once she started remembering what transpired before she blacked out she immediately sat up.

"You're finally awake!" came a calm, slightly boyish voice beside her.

She snapped her head to the side and found the monster that almost killed her, The boy looked to be around twelve years old, with black hair reaching down his neck. his black eyes inspired a feeling of control and steadiness, and his irises had thin hair-like violet streaks adorning them. which added a hint of wildness to him.

Out of habit, she tried to sense the boy's cultivation, but all she felt was a barrier that blocked her senses.

' I acted rashly because of the girl and almost lost my life… and now I almost did it again ' Yueli thought to herself, subsequently noticing the girl beside him and the similarities in their faces

' It seems, she isn't only talented but she has a monster-like family member, is he her brother ?'

She took a deep breath and lowered her head to both siblings '' I apologize, I acted hastily when I noticed the girl… I just wanted to talk to her, but due to my excitement I ended up offending you ''

Radhan hummed in response '' Hmm, And what did you notice about her that made you make such an approach? ''

'' Her cultivation base '' Chu Yueli replied bluntly, as if there was anything more astonishing than her cultivation base

'' Understandable '' Radhan nodded his head, they hadn't been idle these past two years, they had been putting in a lot of effort, they focused on several areas during their training, real fights against Profound Beast, fine controlling profound energy, and most importantly strengthening Qingue physique. After she reached his requirement for body strength he started employing gravity field during practice, to increase the intensity of the training and stimulate their potential to reach a higher realm. As a result of her dedication and following his teaching, Qingue reached the ninth level of the Spirit profound realm.

Radhan closely observed the woman and sensed no falsehood in her words, he looked at his sister with an inquiring gaze and she nodded her head indicating that she told the truth.

Then he released a bit of his aura, which made her eyes go wide in astonishment as she stammered

'' You!! You are… an Earth profound practitioner!! ''

Chu Yueli felt like she was seeing things, first the girl, and now aside from that monstrous power he showed, he was in the 5th level of earth profound.

'' Who are you? '' after staying quiet for a while… She said in a low voice.

Radhan replied while tilting his head towards his sister '' I'm Xia Yuanba, and this is my older sister Xia Qingyue. What's your identity and what is the real reason you approached us ''

Chu Yueli realized that she hadn't introduced herself, So she sat properly and introduced herself. ''My name is Chu Yueli and I'm the fifth Fairy of the Frozen Cloud Asgard sect, people usually refer to us seven sisters as Frozen Cloud Seven Fairies '' She paused, took a deep breath, and continued

'' The reason for what transpired… I noticed your sister's talent and sought to bring her with me to our sect. such a rare talent shouldn't be buried in a remote place like Floating Cloud City, but Alas look what it led me to''

Radhan listened quietly, and said when she was done '' It's not your decision to make, to bring her to your sect, but go on I'm interested in those sects tell me more about them ''

Chu Yueli felt relieved that the tension in the room started going down and explained :

'' There are four major sects in the Blue Wind empire. each controlling and managing the resources of a region while nurturing disciples to continue their legacies… our Frozen Cloud Asgard is such a place dedicated to females. ''

Then she inquired '' I'm sorry for my hasty behavior, but may I ask who's your master. To nurture such talented disciples he must be a well-known figure ''

Qingue shot a smile at her brother and said, "We have no master… everything you see today is the result of our training, more precisely me following the training devised by my brother ''

Chy Yueli's jaw hung open before she came to herself '' Ah you have no master… I see... it's unfortunate that you don't have someone to guide you. the path of cultivation is long, and it would take ten years to learn what a master can impart in one ''

Radhan remained silent, he knew what she said was right. Although he managed to carve a path without anyone's help. And can go further down this road thanks to his mastery of Gravity Law, and transforming his old world knowledge into techniques he could use. but he knew that his sister didn't have this advantage, and needed proper guidance. Maybe he needed it too in certain areas, one can't remain ignorant forever.

Frozen Asgard Fairy thought about the potential of these two children, they had no Master, and yet… they had reached beyond her sect Disciples.

As she pondered, she began to feel hopeful about bringing them back with her.

' If only I could recruit them to our sect, it is given that Xia Qingyue would be immediately accepted into the Palace, the problem lies with her brother, we've never accepted a male disciple before, but what if the other sects reach to him? and his sister follows him... Wouldn't we suffer a huge loss?'

She refused to accept this idea, she grew determined to bring them and said

'' I want to invite you both to join Floating Cloud Asgard, we'll give you the best resources that we can offer, and will guide you to the best of our abilities ''

'' But you said you only accept female disciples, '' Radhan stated as a matter of fact.

Yueli replied without hesitation. "We can make an exception for you, although there will be some resistance at first. I'm sure the palace master wouldn't let a talent as you go away."

Radhan eased himself into his seat and thought about the proposal

' I can't let Qingyue go on without proper cultivation guidance… if we go I'll have to review what type of arts she'll be practicing lest it is useless or will harm her in any way, I've heard about such cultivation technique before '

Without turning his head, he asked his sister '' What do you think sister?" ''do you want to go and join Frozen Cloud Palace? ''

She replied without hesitation, " I'll go wherever you go Yuanba ''

Hearing her answer Radhan stood up and said, "Okay, we'll join your palace, but I hope that your sect won't play any games by accepting my sister and leaving me out... I'm sure you don't want to experience what happened to you again..."

Chu Yueli shuddered, she had almost forgotten how frightening this youngster is.

'' I promise you, on my word ''

'' But what about father, won't he refuse? '' Qingyue frowned on her brows and said with worry.

'' I'm sure Fairy Chu here, will think of something to convince him. Once he returns in the evening, she can talk to him '' Radhan replied.

The evening fell painting the sky a mix of orange and purple, it was a cool night with a cool breeze refreshing the courtyard, Qingyue and Chu Yueli were sitting on the deck, talking about god knows what females talk about with each other. Men have no clue and they prefer to stay out of such conversations.

Radhan felt he needed to do something productive while waiting for his father, so he sat meditating, strengthening his soul, and figuring out different applications of his old-world magic.

Suddenly, a servant came in and bowed '' Greetings Young lady, Young Master. Your father requests your presence in his study ''

Radhan opened his eyes and stood up '' Thank you, we'll be there shortly.''

"Let's go and get this done with '' he mentioned for the other two to follow.

They navigated through different courtyards and arrived before their father's study, where Radhan stopped.

"We won't go with you, go knock on the door and enter ''

he then asked the guard to let her pass.

Once she entered, they had to wait in silence, after a few minutes Qingue couldn't stand it and started pacing around the courtyard.

"Are you worried that he won't accept?" Radhan asked.

Qingyue stopped moving and nodded her head

'' Yes ''

'' Don't worry, he won't refuse. In fact, they are coming out together right now ''

The door to the study opened, and their father came out together with Fairy Chu. They both bowed in greeting to their father and waited , Xia Hingyi looked a bit sad as he spoke up.

'' Today I had the pleasure of meeting Fairy Chu of Frozen Cloud Asgard and she told me about the possibility of you joining her sect… it saddens me to part with you, but you should go… there, you'll find a proper master to teach you, and you won't have to swim in the dark by yourselves ''

'' will you really be fine with us going, Father? '' Qingyue asked with an emotional voice

Seeing the worry in his daughter, Xia Hongyi got himself together and smiled '' I'll be fine Yue'er, besides, if you don't come to visit from time to time I'll go and bring you back myself ''

Radhan and Qingyue thanked their father and bowed to him in respect.

Chu Yueli smiled reassuringly as she added, "Don't worry, Lord Xia, I'll take care of your children, and won't allow anyone to mistreat them."

' Besides, who would dare to mistreat that monster? '

Hongyi felt a bit relieved. ''Prepare everything you need for the journey tonight. Tomorrow you'll both depart, in the meantime, Fairy Chu. You should stay the night here, I'll arrange a courtyard for you ''

After that they headed for the dining hall where they had a sumptuous meal, then everyone headed to their quarters and retired for the night.

Dawn, at the gates of Floating Cloud City, a large 6-wheeled carriage could be seen exiting the city and heading in the forest's direction. Once they arrived close enough the carriage stopped and from it came The Xia Family, Chu Fairy, and Master Li.

Xia Hingyi stood in front of his children, caressed their heads, and said slowly pausing between each sentence

'' You must take care of each other… grow strong… be mindful and respectful when you meet other people there… and know that… you both are my joy and pride ''

He then gave them a small hug before backing off. Qingyue started tearing up and went to hug her father again, while Radhan awkwardly patted his father's and sister's back before he was brought into their hug once again.

Master Li Snickering could be heard in the background when he looked at how awkward Radhan was.

Radhan broke out of their hug and gave him a look, which worked perfectly as it shut him up, then clasped his hands and said :

'' Master Li, please take care of my father''

Li Niu clasped his hands in return and replied, "I'll make sure your father stays safe during your absence."

Radhan then nodded at Chu Yueli, she took a whistle and blew in it, after a few seconds a screech was heard up the sky, a white silhouette came flying towards them then landed. to reveal a massive white eagle four meters in height with a wingspan of ten meters.

Chu Yueli jumped up on the bird and looked back at them.

"Shall we go?" ''
