I curl around myself in the middle of my cold bed, the events of the day finally hitting me hard, it was easier to be hopeful when Travon was still who he was and by my side.

Then, it didn't matter that I basically sneaked out of my parents house to come to a hidden country full of magical creatures that isn't supposed to exist.

It didn't matter that I had no idea what I was doing or what I was getting myself into, none of that mattered.

But now it's just leaves in the wind, isn't it?

Like footprints on the beach, fleeting and feeble.

It's all crashing around me and the roaring gets louder in my ears, it starts with a drop and soon I'm sobbing so hard that my shoulders are shaking painfully.

Blankets pulled over me and under my chin.
