Kapitel 123: A Chance
[Johan's POV]
The rumble of his stomach could rival the roar of tricycle and jeepney engines along the busy morning street. Johan hadn't eaten anything before he went to work, and he was too sleepy to take anything during lunch break. A delectable whiff of corn made his nose twitched, stopping Johan beside the vendor's cart.
"Do you want some binatog, Han?" Adrian asked from beside him, then went over to the vendor even if he hasn't given an answer yet. "Mister, can you give us two servings, please? Han, salt or sugar?"
He liked both, actually. Johan shrugged and grabbed his coin purse. "Salt."
"It's on me," Adrian said and handed a twenty peso bill to the elderly man, who smiled and continued his trek to the side of the street, calling for customers. The blond handed him a paper cup filled with boiled white corn kernels topped with grated coconut and a dash of salt. "Here."
"Thanks."

And yes, this line is the inspiration of the title: Playful Hearts On A Boundary Line.
