Exterminating life, Lilith's ice-cold blade came to a swift halt as a river of warm blood washed over my feet.
Landing next to me, I stared coldly at the empty deck when a radiant sigil appeared. Blinding me with its light, the laws of death slowly began to twist before my eyes. Knowing something was coming, I readied the Spear of Pestilence and watched the radiant sigil shatter into millions of small fragments, the hairs upon my neck rose as Lilith, and I bolted off the deck of the enemy's ship. Racing through the stars of space, hundreds of azure beams carrying the power of extermination charged.
Weaving through hundreds, the crackles of grey lightning, tainted with the element of darkness emanating from my soul, growled, cloaking The Spear of Pesitllance. I stopped, twirling my spear; an invisible domain appeared around me as I batted everything away with the help of Arcane Gale.
By my side, Lilith followed my actions as her blade weaved, carrying the power of fate; her sword moved as if she could foresee where each of these beams of death was going to strike.
"Who would have thought such prey would exist in the Bed of Chaos? The Dao of Fate is it? How I will love dissecting that soul of yours." A soft enchanting voice resounded from the ship, stepping out onto the deck. A frown could only touch upon my lips as I gazed at the woman, draped in a wizard's cloak, that carried runes I did not recognize, but they were no doubt profound.
I saw a woman with long blonde hair, a sharp jaw, and Azure-blue eyes gleaming with an iciness within the dark blue cloak. She wasn't very tall, but there was something different about her, something that I didn't feel when facing anyone at my level.
"Allow me to introduce myself." She uttered with a half bow, "I am Lemuria Sol Devaia, The Lady of the Seven Stars. A pleasure, I'm sure. Can I presume you are Asura Bloodgrave?" My frown grew as I nodded. "How lucky of me! And here I thought I would miss you."
Narrowing my eyes at Lemuria, the Realm Lord, I shot a side glance towards Lilith, whose emerald eyes glisten, "And might I ask who sent you?"
"Does it matter?" She uttered sharply.
"Sure it does." Said Lilith shaking her head dismissively. Raising Riverfall, she smiled, licking her cherry lips. "Whoever sent you seems quite set on killing my hubby. They sent a Realm Lord, after all. A Realm Lord is powerful enough to destroy an entire galaxy with a single slash if I am not wrong."
Lemuria lowered her hood and opened her palm as a crystal staff appeared within her hand. Glistering with various gems embedded into its frame, she smiled as a powerful divinity whisked about, flooding the darkness of space in a nightmarish force that seemed to hold hundreds of properties I did not recognize.
"She is from The Greater Plane, Aether," Said Lilith grimly. "I suspect. They are the Lords of the Divine. The Creators of Qi. I hear their divinity is so advanced. The very laws will support them, allowing them to cast circles without actually chanting them. Their Circles, however, were all random, but they are always high level.
"Wow! you're quite the knowledgable one." Lemuria kindly said, not hiding the mockery in her tone. "it's a shame you are not on the hit list." She coldly declared, arching her staff, that glowed when a sigil of a crown and two swords crossing appeared. Widening my eyes, I knew instantly she, too, was a crest user.
"you guys kill the Chosen of Nox. I will handle Asura and Amilia Bloodgrave." She uttered as a powerful force suddenly encompassed space. Feeling like I had somehow shifted in space, I found myself within the Mirrored Realm once more.
'She said Chosen, not Chosen's of Nox. She doesn't know that Sigfried joined." Lilith's soul whispered, "Want me to protect them?"
"No," I answered back, "They are sure to have protection hidden away by their masters. I am sure they will be fine. I need you for this one. She is a Late Realm Lord. Do you know her battle prowess?"
"It's always a safe bet to assume everyone outside the Bed of Chaos are masters capable of battling Soul Benders. Those that are elites we can assume are Lords and Kings. This is where the race advantage begins to fade.
Letting Crimson Winds wash over me, the scarlet glow around me grew deeper as I pushed it to its max, pumping my blood. A sinister aura rippled through empty space as War of Kings whisked off my body. Consuming the Mirrored Realm in darkness, I studied the grim expression on Lemuria.
"A Lord." She uttered sharply.
"So I have been told," I jeered as a pulse resounded from my soul. Racing form out of my body, my heart and mind trembled as my divine Sense appeared in creation for the first time. Devouring the very fabric of life, the Mirrored realm began to wither as my mind grew sharper by the second.
Turning a little pale, Lemuria narrowed her eyes, "You truly do need to die." she uttered as I blasted off the emptiness of space. Shattering the void beneath my feet, I appeared by her side, piercing the spear of Pestilence towards her throat.
Peering into her heart, I foresaw her next step, making sure my spear bent. I flicked my wrist, forcing my spear to curve the moment Lemuria attempted to dodge. I made sure she would weave right into the tip of my spear. Horror was visible, but there was an eerie calm to her as the robes upon her flesh lit up.
Leaping back, the moment I saw that light, Lilith suddenly charged in gripping Riverfall; When the karmic laws flowed like the River Styx. Consuming the darkness in glorious radiance, she cleaved down when all of a sudden, an azure barrier appeared.
Cutting through Lemuria's barrier without resistance, I was sure her robes created Lilith's body suddenly turned into hundreds of images as they all spoke in unison.
"Genisis,"
Making my skin crawl, Lemuria howled, unable to hide the desperation. "Ethereal...."
"Counter!" Said Lilith as her sigil appeared, just above her head. Blood gushed from out of Lemuria's lips as I saw every clone of Lilith touch upon her robe. I knew Lilith's first spell had succeeded.
Lilith is stupidly strong. Due to her innate understanding of all Laws. Using spells against her is not the wisest of moves. Her battle prowess is the same as Arsene's.
Genisis is a karmic/time attack that forces an enemy to relive all past injuries, including mental. Throughout their lifetime.
Touching upon the robes of Lemuria, I smiled with a victorious light. Genisis was a horrifying ritual I used as a spell. It was a dangerous Circle that no warrior could survive against. To relive all past battles, to experience all injuries through a single lifetime in an instant made Genisis my favorite Atre. There was no defending as this spell only worked with physical contact.
"NO!" Lemuria howled when all of a sudden I frowned as her robes turned to ash the moment of my touch. Frowning a little annoyed, I flickered to Arsene's side.
"That robe was alive?" I muttered faintly, clitting my tongue at such a wasted opportunity.
Standing in a white tunic, with a jerkin wrapped around her chest and set of trousers, Lemuria glared blankly. She gazed upon the ash floating lifelessly in space. Running her fingers through the ash, she turned to me.
"I'm... I'm going to kill you." She uttered so coldly, with a calmness I did not foresee.
Gripping her crystal Staff firmly, she whipped the blood from off her cheeks, from my counterspell, that was usually meant to interrupt midlevel Circles of the unsuspected. One simply needed to grasp what type of circle they were using alongside their laws.
"heed my call, Lucaris, The Broken," She chanted in a mighty tone that thundered as the void shook. Trembling and twisting, the scent of brimstone touched my nose as a foreboding premonition touched my heart.
"Oh shit." Arsene muttered, "Did she?"
"Yeah, she did. She contracted a demon, as a familiar." I coldly remarked.
Shaking the very stars, the Mirrored World withered to ash as we were pulled back into the Bed of Chaos once more. Hearing the cries of many off in the distance, the pungent stench of brimstone grew as a growl rumbled.
Tearing its way out of the void, I saw a three-meter tall beast without skin bleeding from every pore. The lids of its eyes were sowed shut, while two sinister-looking scimitars crafted with what appeared to be made of bone were held in each of his hands, dripping with its blood. Covered in rags that smelt of filth, a powerful sensation of hell radiated off into the void.
"A Torn Demon," Said Arsene solemnly.
"So you know of us?" Lucaris, The Broken remarked, wheezing fire from its mouth.
I frowned, narrowing my eyes only to hear a soul whisper from Arsene. "Torn demons are tormented souls of hell that slowly became demons. They are the lowest of the hierarchy, as they have not formed their horns yet. Nevertheless, this one seems a little different. Torn demons aren't supposed to talk."
"Heed my will, and strike, Lucaris, The Broken, Overlord of the Torn," Lemuria uttered with a stillness that made me feel a little unsettle.
Pushing off space, Lucaris shredded the confines of space and arrived before me instantly. However, just as the Torn demon struck, Arsene was there like an apparition, repelling the two scimitars heading for my neck, releasing a sea of embers.
Witnessing seven sigils hum into existence, the realm around us shook as a foreboding power began to take off. Weaving in and out in an endless loop, a complex formation began to take place, carrying the Laws of Death, Time, and Destruction.
Identifying the nodes and the core of the seven-star circle that carried seven separate spells in one, I knew using counterspell would not work. Not on this type of spell.
Taken ahold of Arsene just as he parried Lascaris cross attack, space bent, and we retreated a few hundred kilometers with a single back step.
"We will not survive if we don't bring out the big gun," Arsene warned, and I could not disagree. Fighting one Realm Lord was already difficult. We had the element of surprise on our side, but not anymore. "The Torn demon was just testing us. He will be going in for the kill next attack. And he will find blood."
Watching Arsene take a deep breath, I could not help but smile at the anticipation upon his breath. Glancing off at the Holy Sword ship in the distance as two Heavenly Lords clash, I knew help was not going to come any time soon. If that Heavenly Lord was also from Aether, then Arken is dead for sure.
"Let's run wild then," I uttered, throwing out any plans for now. Letting my abyssal blood race through me, I could feel the bed of chaos quake as a primordial fear began to radiate from the void itself. Letting the laws of time slow my perception of time and the Dao of space cloak my blade. I uttered my movement arte, Moonlight Veil. That was a combination of the Laws of Time and space.
Moving like I was teleporting, reaching the Torn Devil instantly. I ignored Lemuria high tier spell. There was a reason Space Cultivators were one of the most hated people to fight. Aurelia, the Fallen, had proven that. If I recall correctly, from my inheart knowledge growing each day. It was she who first used the laws of space like this.
Flickering my blade towards the Torn Demon, space had ceased to exist for me, as by blade ignored its presence. Aiming for his every artery, a sea of embers once again washed over me, as the Torn Devil parried all my strikes with deadly precision and bore a foul bloody smile. When all of a sudden, a ruthless kick touched across his face, Arsene appeared like a ghost from the shadows.
Blasting Lucaris off his feet, the formation growing till the size of a small planet suddenly reached its Zenith. Flooding the solar system with horrendous power, Lemuria crystal staff began to bleed a rainbow-colored light.
Burning away the very fabric of space, creating small tears that filled the realm in spiral winds, I smiled and placed my hand onto Sene. Forming a bubble with the laws of space, Lemuria released her incantation.
"Seven Stars of Ruin!" she uttered as the vibrant starry light larger than anything I had ever seen materialized from her formation, falling towards us with divine judgment.
Expanding the bubble of space around Sene and myself, I bore a smile as my eyes locked onto the Torn Demon, who stood there star-struck. Witnessing as the seven stars, burning with heavenly might, all vanished.
"Checkmate," Arsene coldly declared as I pointed my finger towards the Torn Devil. Watching his eyes turn wide in pure horror, he roared as the Seven Stars of Ruin materialized around his body.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Don't use projectiles around a space cultivator. They will just send it back at you.
