Kapitel 4: 52 Winter : The Busy Day part 2
"OGRREEES!"
"BALLISTAAAS AIM AT THE OGREES"
All the ready ballistas fired in an unharmonized manner but didn't penetrate the thick armour that they were wearing.
"IT DIDNT GO THEOUUGH!" A few dwarf exclaimed in shock and frustration.
"WHERES THE GOD DAMN HEAVY BRING HER HERE" Shouted the death with a plume on his helmet.
*ground trembles with every footstep*
The giant ogres (40 meters) approached the heavily fortified gate whilst being pounded with ballistas shots, non penetrated making the orges armour look like a giant pine tree.
"Theee heavvvys heree!" The Demi-Human shouted whilst pushing the heavy ballista up the brick hill.
The dwarven captain sighted in relief for a brief second. "THEN WHAT IN LORD NAME ARE U DOIN' THERE, MOVE UR ASS TO THE WALLS" the captain yelled whilst the ground shook, "THEY'RE CLOSE! MOVE MOVE MOVE" the captain sprang to action and helped push the heavy ballista in place.
The heavy ballista was moved into place, replacing another regular variant.
"NOW HOW DOES THIS THING WORK?!" The captain yelled at the soldiers which came back with the heavy ballista.
"I DONT HAVE A BLOODY CLUE BUT THEY GAVE US INSTRUCTIONS" the Demi-Human replied to the captain.
'arguah' soldiers yelled as they fell down from the higher level.
"ENGINEERS!!"
"MOTHER!"
"I DON'T WANT TO DIE"
"WAKE UP BROTHER, WAKE UP, REMEMBER OUR FUCKING PROMISE! NOW WAKE UP!"
"GET BACK IN LINE AND DO NOT STOP FIRING YOUR CROSSBOW!"
"MY LORD, WHAT SHOULD WE DO?" the captain stared at him with hollow hopeless eyes.

Arthur woke up covered in sweat "It was just a dream" he sighed in relief "A very bad dream, we ain't ready for a full war yet, not for at least another 48 years" he mumbled to himself "I must get the Heavy ballista accepted into service"
*knock knock*
"Who's there?"
A beast folk maid entered the room, "My Lord breakfast is ready" the maid left almost as fast as she entered.
'What time is it?' he looked at the clock 'oh Nah I overslept' he said inwardly, as he began putting on his leather shoes and cloak in preparation for the long day.
After getting dressed he moved to the door of his room when just before he placed his hand on the handle a knock was heard.
Arthur thought it was another maid so he opened the door for her, only to find out it wasn't a cutie but it was the quite chubby lord of the town who came to greet him in the morning at his chambers.
"Greetings my lord, I'm sorry to greet you in front of your chambers but I'm not so patient at waiting so please forgive my rudeness" he bowed apologetically
"It's all good Sebastian, I overslept that's it, we can begin the tour right away" Arthur sleepily replied.
"No, we mustn't my lord you still haven't eaten yet, if we set out right now it would bring shame to my whole family and I'm not sure my weak heart could bear the shame. please follow me"
Arthur walked behind Sebastian as they made their way to the dining room.
When they got near a breathtaking smell was in the air, and when they entered the dining room they saw a few plates of very exquisite dishes as well as a bunch of small birds roasted on a fire.
"Let us have a small feast in your honour, my lord" Sebastian told Arthur whilst giving a plate for Arthur.
"What is this?" Arthur asked.
"What is?"
"this" Arthur pointed at the series of dishes on the table.
"Ahh, this is, well this is, erm, well it's what my gramps calls a buffet, basically food is heated at a medium temperature in those metal bowls so it doesn't go cold and you can just walk over to them and put some of that food onto your plate," Sebastian explained, "like this" he put some meat which was dripping in red sauce.
"And this is?" Arthur asked as his stomach growled.
"well you better eat, this is Totacz, meat fermented in salt and other vegetables for over a year its quite good if you ask me"
Putting on the same meat onto his plate as Sebastian and a few other types of meat and vegetables on his plate. The vegetables were in wooden bowls instead of the metal ones most likely cos light mana was being circulated throughout the room which reacted to the runes, located on the bottom of the metal bowl, this was quite rare and expensive mostly due to the great retreat where many people died on the journey to pass through the great Stren mountains due to its great heights, overall very thin air and freezing temperatures people were forced to burn whatever they had to keep warm which included schematics for these runes leaving a large part of the ancient dwarven technology lost to obscurity and desperate times.
Putting that to the side Arthur sat down with his food on the same small table alongside Sebastian.
'mmm-hmm this is good' Arthur thought to himself whilst eating the food from his plate.
Both Sebastian and Arthur having their fill of food left their plates on the table and proceeded toward completing today's plan of touring the whole city.
"Where do you want to go first? my lord?" Sebastian asked Arthur
"I want to see the great walls that protect this city and the whole federation" Arthur replied.
"Of course my Lord"
