Kapitel 5: 52 Winter : The Busy Day part 3

"Where do you want to go first? my lord?" Sebastian asked Arthur

"I want to see the great walls that protect this city and the whole federation" Arthur replied.

"Of course my Lord"

It wasn't long before they arrived at the great walls of Northwind as the mansion is embedded into the defensive plan of the city, made to stall the enemy and utterly harass them with arrows from the windows, so it was built quite close to the walls to maximise its effects.

"As you can see these are the great walls, with over 50 thousand personnel working on these walls every single day"

"Impressive numbers, but how will they stall against the enemy? Which at any given moment could attack these walls, and pour through into the federation. You know the enemy has always had an advantage in numbers in every battle." said Arthur

"Well my lord we expect the enemy numbers to be 40 to 1 of ours, but I believe that the walls will prevent any major breakthrough into the city thanks to the brilliant combat engineers we can fix the holes created by their siege weapons." Sebastian replied pridefully.

"well said"

Arthur continued touring the great walls which were massive and probably could fit 200 thousand soldiers on there easy.

Each floor contained Ballistas and small windows for crossbows to fire from, altogether there were 8 floors which stretched for about 8 kilometres across with a small gate in the middle which was specially made for the future for when humanity was finally ready to retake their ancient lands.

The overall tour only lasted for about 3 hours, as most time was spent talking to soldiers and being shown around the many storage depots by the local army leaders and of course by Sebastian.

"There's someone I want you to meet my Lord," Sebastian told the lord

"And who's that, who you want me to meet?" curious

"Its the captain of the whole great walls, it is very much him who manages the whole walls and the men and women that were conscripted here"

"Is that the reason?"

"hehe no nono," Sebastian laughed "for him, you are an idol and because of that he really badly wants to meet you"

"So I'm some kind of god to him?

"Maybe I don't know, maybe he thinks you are like a god or something similar to that, but I'll tell you this because I've heard many things and from what I hear you are a very respected person within the federation, so I see it plausible for you to be treated like a God by some people."

"First time I'm hearing about it" Arthur shook his head in denial.

"Maybe you should go out more and socialise with people rather than spend the whole day completing projects and arguing with the council, but if you didn't that you'd probably be called a freeloader so meh keep doing what you're going".

"Well if I had more time I would go out, but as you said I got to keep arguing with the hell-bent council which is desperately trying to bring back their luxuries. Especially the humans thought only the nobles are proving to be troublesome"

"We are here my Lord, we're are at the barracks"

The barrack was more so an office/storage area than an office most due to its size it was repurposed as firewood storage and a tiny office was built on the side of the building as a request by the captain.

"Good day! captain" announced Sebastian.

"Good day to you" replied the captain with disdain, and continued reading the scroll he had at hand.

The office was very tightly packed with a single table and many bookshelves filled with scrolls which most likely were reports of some sort or a list of stock.

"Well, here I was told someone wanted to meet me but it seems like they're surprising busy so we'll come around...." Arthur began talking before being interrupted by the captain.

"What you actually brought him?!" the captain yelled in surprise at Sebastian, the captain got up and saluted "I, Sebastian the third son of Maud's family is at your service my king!" Cpt Sebastian continued saluting as stiff as a rock not even blinking.
