" Who are you guys?"
Asks surprised green-haired girl after she escaped from Neo and Kurumi's lap.
" It's not nice to ask someone's name without giving your own."
Kurumi said kindly with a smile which she covered up with her Palm.
" Emerald, my mother called me Emerald ".
Said the girl looking with uncertainty at the two suspicious girls in front of her.
" Nice to meet you Emerald"
Says Kurumi reaching out her hand towards Emerald's hand, which Emerald accepts with uncertainty. After shaking hands, Kurumi again looks at Emerald.
"Well then we should get out of here, because when the clones disperse they'll realize they've been tricked and will probably come looking for us. Besides, in a moment there will be a rush of people here. "
Says Kurumi kindly letting go of Emerald's hand .
" Is that it?"
Asks Emerald without receiving a name from either of them.
" I think so, well unless you want to thank us for our help, with a small donation from this wallet ".
Says Kurumi showing that in her hand she is holding the wallet that Emerald stole from the man. Seeing this the uncertainty on Emeral's face turns into anger. Emerald is about to say something as with clenched fists and anger on her face she walks forward straight at Kurumi. But Neo stands in front of Kurumi which makes Emerald to back off.
" Yours? Is it signed? "
Asks Kurumi while opening the stolen wallet. After which she pulls out a ID with a photo of a man.
" Wow what do you use to look so young Mr. Rye? "
Kurumi says, making Neo laugh in the process. Neo's silent laughter and Kurumi's mischievous smile make Emerald turn red from anger and embarrassment .
" Come on, we helped you, didn't we?"
Asks Kurumi as Emerald starts to get more and more annoyed.
" I didn't need your help it was you yourselves who made the mess, so give me that wallet now ".
Says Emerald trying not to shout.
" Really? From what I saw he grabbed you and held you under the dumpster when two of his sons covered your escape route. You wouldn't have escaped. Besides, what would you have done if I hadn't given you that wallet? "
Asks Kurumi with a wide smile as if waiting to see what Emerald would do. Looking at Emerald who lowered her head, Kurumi pulled out a thick stack of Lien from the stolen wallet which momentarily surprised her, but she immediately tucked it back into the wallet so that Emerald wouldn't notice it.
However, Neo noticed it and looked at the wallet with a satisfied smile. However, the sound of crumpled stale bread draws the attention of both girls.
" You rich kids don't understand anything, you don't know what hunger or cold is. You have never smelled the stench of garbage and alcohol. You live in warmth with smiles and new fashionable clothes."
Emerald says as her eyes looking at Kurumi and Neo's clothes turn red and watery.
" You have a warm home and a safe place to sleep. You have everything but yet you want more. People like you make everything look like it does in Vale . "
Emerald said as tears slowly began to fall from her eyes.
" Nice clothes, loving parents.... "
With these words, Emerald simply burst into tears making a strange understanding appear in Kurumi's eyes. Neo, for her part, looked away from the crying Emerald knowing that most of her words were true and reflected her past life.
" I won't beg you.... I will not beg, what I can do is fight. However, how can I defeat someone snazzy like you I saw what you did to that guy. I hoped that you were simply helping, however, my mother was right no one can be trusted in this world. "
Said Emerald wiping her tears after which she looks at Kurumi only to see a thick bundle of Lien in front of her face.
" When you stealing wallets always throw them away after you take the money , without it no one has proof that the money is not yours. If you get caught say it's your savings and as long as the person who caught you is good they should let you go without a problem."
Says Kurumi tossing the guy's wallet into the dumpster next to her. With shock and uncertainty, still weeping Emerald take the money and looks at it. After which she looks at Kurumi again to see this time a hand extended towards her with a watch, two silver necklaces and a diamond ring .
" The guy had it on him and I took it from him . It so happens that I know People who buy such things, you won't get much but it's always something. "
Says Kurumi handing the items to an even more surprised Emerald .
" Why are you giving me this, why should I trust you at all .... ".
Asks Emerald blocking Kurumi's hand full of jewelry .
" You can't, you can't trust anyone, I'm giving you a chance. Find a pawn shop under the gold tooth, inside you will meet a nice old lady she will buy the items from you or don't go there and throw this items somewhere."
"You can risk breaking the rules and live in much better conditions because of it, or don't break them and live in the same deplorable state . "
Says Kurumi with such sincerity that she surprised Emerald, who looked into Kuruma's eye as if reading whether she was serious or not.
" Okay, it's time to get going."
Says Kurumi putting the jewelry in the pocket of the surprised Emerald. After that Kurumi moves deeper into the alley, behind her is Neo who looks at her back in surprise.
When Neo and Kurumi disappeared from her field of vision surprised Emerald regained her senses and after looking at the thick bundle of high-value cards, she dumped the stale bread on the ground and after tucking the money deep into her inside pockets she ran quickly in the opposite direction to Kurumi and Neo.

Kurumi pov
Running down one street, I feel confident enough to slow down and stop.
' I can already see the clock store '.
I think while looking at the old building at that moment Neo stood next to me and looked at me and when we look at each other like that for a moment a smile appears on our faces.
" What a sucker ".
I say with the baker and his sons in mind. Thinking about them make me and Neo start giggling to each other.
" Time to go back it's getting late".
I say calming down , then I pull the bags out of my shadow.
"I hope the cat didn't destroy anything ".
I say as Neo and I slowly make our way to our base when I suddenly remember something
" Neo I hope you are not angry that I gave all the money to that girl? "
I say frankly looking at her as we walk side by side. However, hearing this Neo turned her head towards me and seemed to say. "She was the one who stole that wallet there, so it was her money. And maybe there was a little bit of it there, but there wasn't so much there to fight over it, after all, in the end we have everything food, clothes and each other I don't need anything else so those few hundred lien wouldn't change anything. Besides, I rather expected you to give her the money..."
"Like why would it be expected?"
I say looking at Neo who simply shrugs her shoulders as if to say " After all, I guess you both had similar things in life. Besides, you are a good person at heart Kurumi "
" What are you thinking about Neo? Me a good person? "
I say with a giggle as we slowly make our way to the alley at the back of the store. However, after these words I am stopped by Neo who looks at me seriously " Yes you are great person ".
" Stop or I'll blush "
I say while covering my smile with my hand. I understand what Neo wants to say but still I brush it off with a joke because sometime I myself don't believe that I can be a good person.
"I simply gave the girl the money she stole herself. If I had taken it from her I would have done the same thing Lotus did to me. And I have no intention of descending to his meager level"
I say shaking my head at Neo's words. However, she continued looking at me with a look on her face as if she say " But in the end you helped her because you felt sorry for her."
Looking at Neo's foxy face I know she won't let me go until I tell her what she wants .
' Fine I will tell her'
With that thought I take a deep breath and say.
" I did indeed feel a little bad seeing her crying because of me when she se did not deserve it. However, I didn't help her in any way."
I say feeling that I have to tell Neo how stupid she is by forcing me to say this but I refrain from doing so ending it by putting my hands on my chest and letting the air out because of the flustration and embarrassment I now felt.
Looking at me Neo smiles strangely after which she lets go of the bags and hugs me tightly. I feel Neo rub her cheek into mine as she lifts me off the ground making my legs hang in the air.
And as far as I can sense excitement in her, totally like she's saying how cute I am but it all makes me uncomfortable. However, just the feeling of being hugged makes me realize how little I need for happiness. I feel that my demands in life have decreased since I have Neo with me. Now a simple moment in an embrace is enough to calm my nerves.
"Neo let's go back already, at the base we can continue hugging."
I say as Neo lets go of me and picks up the bags from the ground. However, from the look on her face I can see her thinking " No matter what you helped her by telling her about the pawn shop".
" You are wrong Neo, If I wanted to help her I would tell her about Lotus or even take her to our base. But I don't want to have a random newcomer in our base. At most I have given her new opportunities for development but it is up to her to accept them."
I say making Neo sigh. At this point we have already reached a wall with a hidden cable.
"Let's go to bed, to be ready for anything tomorrow. After all, we don't want to oversleep."
I say making a little joke about this morning's situation , which makes Neo blush and me smile as I watch her reaction.
'You could have woken me up'
These are the thoughts of Neo Which I could read from her face .
"I preferred to let you sleep . You looked really lovely and comfortable , you must have had good dreams ."
I say feeling even better about her embarrassment, even more so after she made me embarrassed.
'Yes the dream was good because it was about you .'
Reading these thoughts from her face I laughed and she laughed along with me. With that me and the pink mouse arrived at the back wall of the clock store, where Neo left the bags on the ground, pulled out the cable and started to climb up to ouer base.
