Kapitel 21: Chapter 21: Liquid Courage

Brenna POV

“You good?” Viv asked as she touched my hand that held the shot.

Viv must have seen Amanda touching Kieran’s arm just like I had. Maybe Amanda was just hitting on Kieran like she did that day of check-in. Someone like her wouldn’t be his type, would she?

“Never better,” I said with a grin as I slammed the shot back. The dry liquid nipped at the back of my throat.

The urge to cough came quicker than I expected, but I pushed it back down as I reached for the bottle to pour another round for each of us.

Pouring the clear liquid into the glass gave me something to focus on, so I kept my eyes trained on my task to make sure I didn’t spill.

“What was this?” I asked Viv as I set the bottle back down.

“Thirty-year-old gin.”

“Y’all need to catch up,” I send as I slung back the second round.

Molly and Viv toasted before drinking their shots.
