this story is similar to han jue, but still good han jue anyway. (Top Tier Providence, Secretly Cultivate for a Thousand Years) is still number one, but this story is still acceptable hehehe.

Probably one of the best cultivation novels I’ve read in a long time. It has an over-powered MC and yet the fights are still engaging, even though the MC rarely fights himself and uses his disciples to fight instead. The novel is humorous, but isn’t to an annoying amount, landing at the top of the Goldilocks zone in humor. While the concept in the novel isn’t new as in hunting hot shots, it’s well done with how it’s done in the novel.
Sadly the synopsis is quite misleading. This is your standard master with a system for taking in deciples novel, only that this master has absolutely no interest in taking in deciples aside from becoming stronger himself.
Another small pet peeve I have is the usage of vocabulary. Vocab could be a very minor thing for some, but for this instance it bothered me a lot. It was the usage of the words "hot shot". It's a modern word the MC specifically uses in this fantasy setting to describe characters that have cheats and could be protagonists of other stories. He teaches this word to his disciples. Cool, nothing wrong with that, but then another character, completely unrelated to the MC, who has never interacted with the MC suddenly uses the word "hot shot" also to describe these characters. ???? When there is no cohesion of the world, even in something as minor as this, it breaks the immersion.
I was enjoying it until a disturbing theme came up. The MC cooks these martial experts he defeats in a cauldron and refines them into pills to consume. It’s sanitized so nothing gory, and so far they’re only spirits, so it’s not exactly cannibalism, but a cousin of it. In the end, he’s still eating his own species. He’s also constantly ranting about how immoral the protagonists in that world are and how they’re so selfish, killing people whenever they want, but he himself wipes out an entire sect just just so he can have peace, and using the annihilation of that sect as practice for his disciples. When he was talking about immortal and selfishness, he might as well be talking about himself.

This was actually a pretty good novel. The banter between the disciples were very entertaining. The MC has better morals than most other male MCs in chinese books. The only thing suspicious is why does this novel seem a bit
pretty much trash in my opinion but there's a time, a place, and a person to enjoy it.......................................................

I like the plot, it's funny, and Pokes fun at all the other wuxia novels that have the same basic plots, super luck and system bs that the arrogant protagonist always have
Even for a comedy is too much. I don't like the kind of coward that mc is, too trashy novel, after 48 chapters i need to quit. The title of this novel should be:I'm too coward so the system made me take disciples.
MC is OP but is a cowardly heavenly monarchly trashiest existence ever...............................................................................................................................................................................................
Good writing and overall elements. Nothing brain dead and very well written.

This is the kind of "overpowered" that I like. No one knows at first then slowly some ppl get to know but not fully and then someday everyone will be shocked That basically the whole premise. But the funny thing here is, that he himself (MC) is dense and doesn't fully understand how others think of him. At least imo. So having the reaction of the disciples is like seeing the common sense from ppl in comparison to his "common sense". It's not deep or anything yet. But for me this is a really enjoyable read and I want more of it. And from how the characters are interacting and their thoughts, reminds me of some other novels that I like. One specific example would be: "I don't play by the book". So if you like the humor there you might just like this as well.

Não recomendo, se quiser saber o motivo lei as outras críticas negativas, algumas dentre elas devem ter o motivo de eu não recomendar, isso se não forem todas.
me gusta esta aplicación y las lecturas están bien gracias por que me agrada pero es complicado estar esperando que se actualicen lamentablemente.

Although the book has it's faults, I really enjoy reading it so I'm giving it a five out of five stars. It would be funny if the mc got his own op rival like his other disciples but he is more of a spectator than anything although he has everything he would need to defeat the "hackers"

a mildly interesting run on the mill story about a sect elder being the strongest. too bad it was axed just as quickly as the rest of the run of the mill stories in this site

I feel that it could have the Mc have more feelings, while the disciples can be more smarter and not rely on the plot armor too heavily. Overall, it could use some improvement but worth reading.
All round decent novel. Nothing top tier but easily above average. decent translation too. Somewhat original concept. Protag MC isn't invincible at the start, that is misleading. He is mid level which is pretty decent in his region. He also has "peerless' talent. Anyways this novels whole shtick is that the system can detect talented people and the host then takes them as a disciple. The catch? All of these disciples are "villains" (none of them are evil at all) who have been beaten up by a son of heaven (generic chinese self-righteous protagonist). Our protagonist gains cultivation when his disciples cultivate and he also gains "gift boxes" (which aren't gacha pulls but they're still relatively OP) when his disciples break through a minor/major realm. So our protagonist is the low key cautious type and is (rightfully) extremely wary of these "sons of heaven" and anybody who could be one. His plan is to out cultivate all the "sons of heavens" that are his enemies and get rid of them. Fun story, not executed as entertainingly as possibly but still decent. 3.5/5.
