24.27% Speedster in Multi-verse / Chapter 40: Chapter 39: End The Friendship

Kapitel 40: Chapter 39: End The Friendship

The winner is the "yes" side by a wide margin. To be honest, I'm glad it happened. Because if the "no" side had won, future events would have been pretty ridiculous. Thanks to this, what will happen will make sense. I also made minor changes in Chapters 37 and 38.

If you see any mistakes, feel free to write. I'll fix it.

--------------------

"Yes, my beauties. I'm always free for you." Blake smiled gently. He brushed back his messy hair with his hand and wiped his exposed chest, even though he wasn't sweating. [EN: In what situations does a speedster sweat? Excessive speed usage?]

"Blake..." Rumi put her hands to her hips in a mixed expression. Her ears leaned forward to convey her complex feelings.

"Yes, babe. What's the matter?'' Blake put his work aside and looked at her with concern.

"Do you... think it's still right for me to defend humanity... with my life?" She finally said what's her inside. She started tapping one of her feet quickly on the ground, a gesture she sometimes made.

What people did to Blake because of one move made her hesitant. As a hero over the years, her heroic heart shouldn't have cracked so easily, but when it came to the man she loved, its actions affected her more.

'Oh? I didn't expect this to come so soon." Blake was surprised, even though he didn't show it from outside. He thought there was a while before this question came up.

Well, the sooner it comes, the better. That way, he could tell what's inside and change his girls' mindset a little bit.

Nejire paid close attention to Blake's words as Rumi spoke her mind. Her resentment towards humanity had been increasing lately, and she knew she would eventually ask that question.

"No, it's not."

''Eh?''

''Eh?''

The two made a confused sound. They knew that would be Blake's answer, but they were surprised that it was so direct.

"Don't look at me like that. From the beginning of our relationship, I've been telling you that your lives are more precious to me than the lives of a few strangers. I think it's better to be in my arms than to save a few people."

Rumi looked at Blake with her widened eyes. All her life, she never thought she'd like such selfish words so much.

Babump! Babump!

Her heart was beating wildly, and a warm and pleasant feeling enveloped her. Her ears were swinging back and forth as if conveying her emotions.

"But you can't do that." Blake shook his head as he knew what Rumi was thinking.

'You two aren't cold like me. You can't be. As much as I don't want to, you will step forward to help people in their difficult situation." Blake put his hands on both sides of his waist and sighed. The biggest problem with his heroic lovers was giving Blake a headache.

The two nodded their heads. As Blake said, no matter how hard they tried, they would push themselves forward in situations that put people's lives in danger.

"I will stop you despite all this. I'm never going to let you throw your life away for a few people. If you keep doing the same, I'll be there for you every time you go and I'll get you out of there in a difficult situation."

"T-Then what do you want us to do?" Nejire set his beautiful light blue eyes on Blake. She had a curious, empty expression as she tilted her head to the side.

"I don't know. That's what confuses me. I don't want you to get hurt in any way." His words involuntarily caused the girls to giggle. Blake's attentive attitude towards them, they both liked it.

"But there's something you need to know..."A serious look appeared on Blake's face. His gaze was going back and forth between the eyes of two women.

The seriousness of his words was evident in his tone. The mood was tense at Blake's words. The palpable seriousness prevented the girls from speaking. As the girls got serious, they turned their full attention to Blake.

"Those people, no matter how innocent or naïve they are, are not worth saving or putting your life on the line..." The serious look on Blake's face was erased and a sarcastic smile appeared. Her eyes lit up with a cynical light.

"As long as you save them, they will be grateful to you, and they will glorify you as long as you throw away your lives for them. They will smile at you, support you and convey their pure feelings to you."

Blake headed for the button on the side of the room. This key would reveal the robots that would clean up all the clutter in the room. He kept talking as he walked.

"They'll be grateful. They will write internet how good you are, buy your fan toys or pray for you every day, and do their best to convey their admiration to you." Blake raised both hands and turned his head slightly to the girls.

"But these favors will last until your bad side is revealed." He pressed the button on the wall. It was a small press, but the two felt as if it had started something.

"When you fail, they'll hit you in the face and shamelessly ask why you didn't do better. Even if you tell them how much you're doing your best, trying to do your best, they won't understand...''

Blake hesitated before continuing. He knew what he was going to say was too much for the girls, but he had to do it. If he didn't and continued on their way blindly, a greater collapse would eventually greet them.

For this not to happen, he had to harden his heart and move on.

"As soon as you show them something that scares them, they will try to suppress you. They will try to take back the power given to you, to have you under surveillance...'' Blake smiled with mockery. Under his watch, this was never going to happen to the girls.

"If you continue, the faces that smile at you will turn into knives that stab you. They will humiliate you, insult you, curse you, and those who have some influence will take their place in front of you."

The girls' imaginations began to take action.

Smiling faces began to appear around them. Each of them looked at them with gratitude. Some thanked them, some expressed their gratitude to them, others simply shouted their names.

But the next second, the faces turned into red faces, interlocked with them. They said whatever came to their mouths, no matter how much they sacrificed for them.

Nejire took a step back. This sudden hatred, even if it was imaginary, was heavy for her. These words that were said to her, regardless of what she had done for humanity, hurt her.

"And once you bring danger to them and they feel danger over their lives, they will throw away what you did before. For those who have been in this situation, they will leave you alone, no matter how many times you throw yourself away by putting your life aside.''

"They'll isolate you. By throwing things everywhere they see you, they will drive you away from them and do many more...'' Blake stopped and raised his finger. As the girls stood out, they began to look at his finger.

Blake lifted his middle finger and joined it with the first finger, then separated it. The movement showed that he had come to the second half of what he was going to tell.

"It's not just that. People are despicable beings with worse aspects than you know. I'm not just saying this because I hate people. I'm talking about my own experiences. But I won't tell you." Blake knew where to stand. If he continued, he could break the girls' heroic hearts.

Even his mere words earlier formed a painful, devastating expression as if they had been betrayed. Right now he wanted to go and comfort them and take them in his arms, but he couldn't.

Blake knew that no matter how close they were, there were things only they could decide. In that case, it was one of them. Blake should have held back from consoling and pampering them and letting them think for a while on their own.

"A-At least... Can you give me an example?'' Rumi coughed before completing her words. She wasn't as bad as Nejire because she was more experienced, yet Blake's words impressed her.

Rumi thought she had experienced a lot from the underground arena and after a few incidents, but Blake's words showed her that she was still naïve. It made her realize how she was looking at humanity through a pink window and her eyes were painted.

She realized she was as inexperienced as a fledgling hero. The funniest part was that it was told by her lover, who had been in the hero world less than herself.

"Let's think about it..." Blake didn't have to think about it. He had many examples in mind, but for the girls, he had to choose the one that would least affect them.

"I've seen someone kill their best friend with their own hands, without blinking an eye, just to win a competition that could make them stronger." His words made the two women shudder throughout.

Nejire turned around and ran towards her room. Blake's words influenced Nejire's pure feelings for humanity. She needed to think alone for a while.

"Haha... I'm older than her, I should be in a better situation than her but right now I want to do the same..." With a bitter laugh, she rubbed her nose as she looked behind her.

"Can we hug?" She stretched out her hands towards Blake. She wanted to feel the warmth of the man she loved right now.

"Of course, babe." Blake stepped forward. The distance between them suddenly closed. He wrapped his arms around Rumi's hips and raised her.

Rumi threw herself into Blake's arms. She wrapped her arms around his neck and her legs around his waist, buried her head in his neck, and inhaled his scent.

As expected, Blake's comfortable arms eased her condition a little.

**

After comforting Rumi for a while, Blake headed to the hotel. Rumi didn't want to leave him, but after making her aware of the seriousness of the situation, she reluctantly let him go.

With his speed, it didn't take long for Blake to arrive at the hotel.

He decided to take the stairs to the upper floor without having to take the elevator.

With each step, he was jumping three or five steps. With a slight increase in speed, he reached the top floor in a few tens of seconds.

He opened the door to the hallway and stepped into the hallway. He's headed for the door to Teka's room.

When he got to the door, he grabbed the doorknob and pushed the door open. With a slight click, the door opened.

The darkroom greeted Blake. The nasal-burning sour smell hit his face. The clothes in the hall had not been removed, and everything remained as he had left it this morning, except for a few things Blake had fixed.

Blake headed for the bedroom after opening the windows to ventilate the hotel room.

The hall leading to the bedroom was filled with Teka's clothes. They stood exactly as Blake had left them before he left, indicating that Teka had not come out of her room.

Blake tidied up her clothes before entering the room. He continued walking to the bedroom.

Within a few steps, he crossed the hall and came to the door. He took a deep breath before opening the door. Turned doorknob ın one move and entered.

"You're here..." It was the room still as it had been in the morning, Teka's confused voice, and Teka standing in the middle of all the mess that greeted Blake.

The bedroom was untouched like any other room. The only difference was the glass opened so that the sour smell inside could go away, and Teka looked at the horizon in front of the glass.

Teka was wearing nothing but the thin quilt she was wrapping around her body. She was leaning her arms against the window, looking out in the wind blowing in her face.

Blake knew how much Teka loved Yoshino. Yoshino covered a great part of her heart, and cheating on him should have been a major blow to Teka, even if it was against her will.

Despite all this, she did not look weak in any way. Her back was straight, he couldn't see her expression, but he knew she was in her usual solid form. Despite all this, she did not give up on her personality.

"Yes, I'm here. I had to come." Blake headed for the drinks cabinet at the edge of the room. He opened the cupboard and took a liquor bottle and two glasses, and headed over to Teka's side.

Teka didn't glance at Blake. She continued to stare at the sky with mixed feelings.

After Blake filled the glasses with booze, he put aside the bottle of liquor and went to Teka. He opened the window next to him and started talking.

"You want to share our last drink, my friend?" The wind was blowing his white hair. He had a mild smile on his face.

Whatever posed this problem, Blake and Teka's relationship would never improve if they did not take their relationship one step further with a joint decision.

It couldn't be fixed. When they looked at each other, they would have remembered this moment. If what had happened hadn't affected Blake much, every time Teka looked at him, she would have remembered the moments when she had cheated on her husband, and the end would have been the same.

In such a situation, it made more sense to end their friendship in a good way.

Teka stared at Blake without turning her head. One side of her lip lifted slightly, not rejecting his offer. She took the drink but instead began to swirl the glass in her hand.

'I'm just telling you so you know. I didn't do this."

"I know." Teka nod her head and took a sip of the drink. She knew Blake wouldn't do that. She didn't know him very well, but she knew he was someone who wouldn't use an aphrodisiac or similar drug on a woman.

That was the worst part. They had to end their friendship, even though she knew Blake wasn't doing it, and knowing it was all done by someone else.

Blake took a sip of his drink. He leaned his arms against the window. He spoke as he stared at the sun, which had turned west and had decided to give way to the moon.

"It was probably Lilith. No, it was Lilith."' They both knew what happened yesterday was done by Lilith.

Blake couldn't have been drunk because of his speed power. Maybe extremely strong alcohol could get him drunk, but such a drink did not exist in this world.

Teka had made it clear that she couldn't get drunk because of her Quirk. Her Quirk was giving her a pure body by burning the harmful substances that had entered her body.

The two had been drinking together for months, and the alcohol content of what they were drinking was increasing day by day. After a while, their drinks began to contain enough alcohol to put normal people in comas.

Despite all this, the two of them weren't even impressed, let alone drunk. But when Lilith came that day, they had lost their temper and had sex. In such a situation, only a fool could not understand the true nature of the situation.

"I don't think it is necessary to say anything more. This beverage will likely be the last thing we drink. But know this…" Blake drank his drink and finished it in one gulp.

"If you need my help, just call. I'll be there. And if your husband causes any trouble, I know you don't need it, but I'll take responsibility." Blake fixed his posture. He dropped the glass on the windowsill, turned around, and headed for the exit.

He left the room without another word. Footsteps pierced the howling of the wind and reached Teka's ears. Teka unconsciously turned her gaze to the man who had gone.

"You will take responsibility... ha.'' Teka finished her drink in one sip and placed her glass on her side of the windowsill.

She turned around and went to the closet to put on her clothes. She had things to do so she wouldn't be put in a position to Blake take responsibility.

The glass Teka had left was glowing faintly in the sunlight. The bright sunlight also reflected on the glass Blake had left behind, causing the light to be reflected. The light from the couple's glasses converged to form a single light.

This small incident, which the duo did not notice, perhaps showed the future of the duo.
