Not really a shameless 5* review, as this novel really deserves those stars and even more. It is such a good novel that it compelled even me, the laziest dude on Earth, to start translating it. Just hope that it won't be taken down by the platform owners. If you want to read about an aspiring actor who has a cool personality and clairvoyance (of course), then this novel is your cup of tea. His interaction with real life celebrities is every bit as believable as it can possibly be for this type of novels, and also, his relationship with people close to him is really solid and makes you care for it a lot. The choice the author did when it comes to protag's love interest is pretty surprising considering that there so many attractive celebs, and yet all the more enjoyable because of it, not in spite of it. This novel will also teach you how to appreciate movies, and yep, music as well. You guessed it, our Renly will also dab in music, and dab he will. P.S. I still can't get my head around the fact that Qidian actively ignores such a great novel. It is not like this novel is being unprofitable in China, aux contraire, it does make a lot of money. Well, not as much as Legge with IRAS, but still... right? Am I right though guys? Am I right? Give me a five!
You know what, normally i read about 50ch before making a review. But today you get an exception. The synopsis caught my attention, honesty well done, perfect for gettin a reader's attention. (I'll make a real review later, ya know, when I actually read the story lol.) But ya your right in that there just aren't many good showbiz novels rn. Either I've already read them or they get cancelled for miscellaneous reasons. Imma give this one a shot for the amazing synopsis. ๐
I read this novel till 400 to 450 chapters, on MTL. Then I dropped it because it was becoming too melodramatic, in addition to Slow-pace of the Plot. First 300 chapters are very good but slightly slow. But after 400 chapters, Mc takes acting too seriously as Mc takes unnecessary (debatable) risks like taking anti cancer treatment to act as cancer patient in 50-50 movie (which would have been bearable for me if this novel was fast paced but it's not) and I think after 400 chapters, it will be very hard for this novel to become popular. So, if you want to make this novel really popular then author, you have to take advantage that it's present weakness is only it's slow paced plot (after 400 chapters, there will be more and more weaknesses) and to counter act against this weakness of Slow-paced story, number of daily chapters releasedย should increased to atleast 4 per day. I think, this method can boost this novel into top 50 original novels list until 400 chapters. This is just my opinion. Author, You can follow your own plan and ignore this comment.

recommend anyone to read this,one of the best novels i have read. this is a perfect example of a hidden gem. what to say about the story-it is realistic(except cancel he died once else it there is no unrealistic scenes in the story)
As a person who has fully read the whole book (2503 Chapters); i strongly suggest people to read this. It could definitely have been better, but it was nearing perfection. I admit that there were dozens of times I cried, specially at some moments. Not gonna spoil. There were also many things I hated, but the one I disliked the most was that at some point Annie Sullivan(litte girl patient) was just tossed aside. She was one of my favorite character and it hurts that her character was just pushed aside like that. Two things I hated the most were some people just hated MC for no reason and kept calling him a hypocrite, even when they don't fully know him; the other one is the unnecessary tragedies. Just happens for no reason and make MC go through pain. Some of them makes sense for character growth, while some were just nonsense. Just kept making MC go crazy. Overall still one of my best read though. Also the book stopped even when the story hasnt finished. Just a heads up for people who wants to continue reading the mtl version.

I swaer to God I literally lost braincells reading chapter 42. Mc who is a Natural born Actor that impresses almost everyone that seen his acting from nobodys to even Hollywood Superstars/Actors canโt for some braindeath reason look food at Camera if its about Photography and not filming. This is literally impossible because thats literally the smallest requirement to even consider yourself as a Actor.
This book isnโt necessarily the best out there, but it is genuinely enjoyable to read. A smart and focused protagonist, no modern-day harem or weird perversions, and all of the characters are interesting and fleshed out. This book is one of my favourites on this site! If anyone has suggestions on similar novels (hollywood, showbiz and reincarnation) it would be appreciated!

i have read this book. the book is great. its focus on the film making. the MC is good for me, its not like other hollywood novel that the mc is trying to be like Harvey Weinstein or Hugh Hefner. the story is great, there so many conflict sometime face slap, not smooth sailing like other novel. overall its great. You should check out the author other novel

This book introduced me to songs I wouldn't have known if I haven't read it here. Characters are complex. World building is great. Storyline flows smoothly. This is one of the gems here in Webnovel. Give it a try.
The author seven cats is not good at writing plots and heโs sometimes ambitious in trying to make the story and characters real and profound but not hitting the mark because of his writing skills lacking. But the load of historic informations and attention to details on what happened back in time feels like the author is a historian. Which is the biggest factor in what kept me reading any of seven cats novel which not many appreciate. I love reading history of movies and celebrities and I wonder how a Chinese could research this so thoroughly

Since reading too much same topic I have developed some resistance, but this novel was able to get me going 2 days straight without rest. So you could imagine right the only problem is the update frequency but I understand the trouble as a fellow who has problem kinda same? I guess . Then also sigh... as a absolute reading fanatic it's bit saddening Talking about plot it's although conventional it w a s able to bring a personal charm. Every time when reading something we are like God's enjoying the life of the characters present in the novel , but in this I was also able to experience the life which is very rare sight(feeling) to me.
