Kapitel 13: Cursed Chains
*sigh*
"Our son hasn't recovered from his lovesick." Zenith asked Lilia about her son's strange behavior because Paul wasn't good about this. After all, he was a playboy before, he didn't experience love-sickness due to his nature.
"Hmmm... So your saying that Rudy's constantly biting the chains of his necklace was his love-sickness's fault? Maybe that's true. Every time I see him, he always bites it." Lilia already confronted Rudy about this, but the only answer that she would always get was the chains was tasty.
"Even when we are taking a bath together, he stares blankly while biting the chains. Do you think I need to confiscate his amulet?" She really wants his best for him. If confiscating his precious item will make him become better, she will gladly become the villain.
"Madam, I think we should let him do it for now. Eventually, Rudy will recover and his smiles will come back once again." Trying to block him was counter productive in Lilia's understanding.
Although Zenith was not satisfied, she let it be for now and hope that his son will find new love so the Rudy that always smiling to them came back. Little did Zenith know that his son's another future wife will meet him eventually.
Time flows by after Roxy's departure and Rudeus can now materialized his Cursed Chains in his right hand at last. Silver bracelet with five chains that connects to every silver rings in his right hand suddenly appears.
Thanks to Roxy's present, he can now bite, sleep with and take a bath with a chain. He already noticed the worried look of Zenith and Lilia but obtaining the Cursed Chains was more important than shame.
This chains possessed five different abilities for every chains that may break the law of this world.
Holy Chain: This chain located in his right thumb. Shape like a cross at the end of the chain. It has an ability to heal severe wounds. He also considered the possibility of repairing damage tissue, recreating new arms for the amputated people and removes poisons or curses if he makes this chain stronger.
Steal Chain: This chain located in his right index finger. Shape like a syringe at the end of the chain. It has an ability to steal skill and mana from the victim. Stealth dolphin, a small dolphin strap that also connected to this chain, will explain to him what kind of ability did the user steal.
Dowsing Chain: This chain located in his right middle finger. Shape like a ping-pong ball at the end of the chain. It can be manipulated for attack and defense, it can be also used for interrogation whether the person was telling a lie or not.
Chain Jail: This chain located in his right ring finger. Shape like a hook at the end of the chain. It prevents his victim to produce mana, it will shut down his mana flow and all of its abilities that related to mana will render useless.
Judgement Chain: This chain located in his right pinky finger. Shape like a blade at the end of the chain. The user will give a command to the victim, and if he refuses or failed to do his bidding, his heart will be punctured by the blade and prevents any healing process, making the victim die immediately.
Rudy was in ecstasy right now when he can now control this sick abilities. He knows that there plenty of opportunities where he can display these chains greatness.
The only thing left is Senbonzakura. right now, he was intermediate to all of sword styles in this world. Together with Mihawk's sword style, he can invent many sword techniques and maybe try to create his own dojo.
He let it aside for now on what his style will be called since he will practiced his illusions right now. Having two tomoes in Scarlet Sharingan are enough to have a very potent illusions. He decided that he will go outside and practice the illusions there, since he need some fresh air sometimes.
"Dad, can I go out to play?" With the book about magic seals in his right hand and the magic wand made by Roxy in his left hand, Rudy asked his father's permission to go outside.
"Son, if it helps you to recover in your love-sickness, of course I'm going to permit it. But let me remind you, be careful of showing your demon eyes. If you promise that, then I will let you outside." Although he misunderstands on why he wants to go outside, Rudy couldn't help but be amaze at his dad being a dad.
In original canon, Paul was still not mature enough as a father material because he's still young and has not enough experience on being a father.
But to think that he becomes responsible, he is seeing Paul in new light. Probably because he's worried that his son has a gift that given by the demon empress, Paul was trying to protect him in his own way.
"Ah, that's right. Dad, I will go out from time to time in the future, but I'll tell someone if I go out and I won't miss my sword and magic training. I'll come back before dusk and I won't go to dangerous place." Rudy declared so his father won't be worried.
"Okay, be careful outside." He can't help but be melancholic when he see his son slowly growing up.
'I hope that you don't flip girl's skirts. That's my hobby when I was a kid.' Maybe Paul is not mature yet like we thought.
After he promised that he will be careful and not going to show Scarlet Sharingan to others, Rudy immediately go outside and try to look at the scenery.
He missed to look because Rudy was focused only at Roxy when they riding kalajav for the graduation test.
'Come to think of it, this is my second time to go outside my house. Hmmm... If my memory serves me right, the event will probably start when I will meet Sylphy.' While thinking this, Rudy was excited to meet his other future wife. If he's going to marry all his future wives, he needs to be responsible and fair to them.
Right now, he was in a vacant lot and sits there. He is meditating right now to cultivate his illusions. After all, if you can control your enemies using Genjutsu, your battle will become effortless.
