Chapter 6: ~ Starks of Winterfell, Training, Flight and First Blood ~ Part One ~

~ Winterfell, Training yards ~

~ Eldric Stark - POV ~

As I stood upon the balcony overlooking the training yard with my family and my master at arms, Rodrick of House Cassell, whose family has served mine own for centuries now. At my left stood my eldest son and stoic heir, Rickon the 'Stoic Wolf', with his wife Alissa of House Mormont of Bear Island, their firstborn, a son named after our ancestors before him, Brandon of House Stark. And then there was my only daughter stood at my right, my sweet and fierce Argella, the 'Wolfs Fang', a spear woman who well be reaching her majority soon, and a engagement with that Manderly boy of White Harbor. She is the spitting image of my late queen, Lynarra of House Karstark of Karhold a cadet branch of House Stark, who was truly loved and missed by all of the Winter Court, and even more so as a mother and grandmother. 'And a amazing partner. It has been cold winter without my love, yet I go on for our beloved grandsons. Until our reunion, Lynarra.'

Then there is the 'Wandering Wolf' my other son, Barthogan, standing below us in the training yard awaiting his own son. A son who is half Dragonlord, not that it matters much to us, who have a more ancient history than even those Dragonlords of the Valyrian Freeholds. Where our families ancestral Valyrian steel greatsword, Ice, comes from. Not that the dragons shouldn't be feared, even respected, for they are truly beautiful yet destructive creatures. But our family has lived with a couple of them for almost nine years now. 'Interesting times are ahead.' I think to myself.

Speaking of dragons, that very moment a couple of roar echoes across the castle, shaking even my old bones same as the castle itself. As the two dragons fly down into the clearing within the godswoods, that were cleared out for the mighty beasts. One belonging to my gooddaughter, Daenora of House Targaryen, on her she-dragon called Saeraxes, and the other that seems to have grown even larger that the she-dragon is my gransons, who named him Haedes just at two name day old, when he officially bonded with the beast. Not that they have not been always together since the cradle. 'Not until the beast was to big to follow the boy around at least, thank the Old Gods for small mercies, I say.'

Either way, my grandson has always been a never before seen genius and I expect that genius extends to the martial training he is about to start. I have never heard of him failing any of his lessons so far in all subjects mondain or advanced, and I expect that he won't be any less than monstrous in the training yard as well. I can tell I'm not the only one, telling by how Argella can't stop fidgeting, and the usually stoic Rickon keeps tapping his toes. 'They truly love their nephew, as I love him,as Lynarra loved our first grandson, our Dragonwolf.'

Speaking of my grandson, here he comes now, with his beautiful Valyrian mother, Daenora trailing behind him with a mothers smile on her face. A very needed and welcome gooddaughter during Lynarra's last year's, more so Draegon of course. Yet she also is a fierce warrior and mother who wields one of House Targaryens two Valyrian steel swords, a longsword called Dark Sister. 'The boy is truly blessed.' I thought to myself as Daenora moves to join us on the balcony after Argella waves her over, very enthusiastically. I greet her with a smile and nod as we all look down to see...

~ Draegon Targaryen Stark - POV ~

After promising Haedes that we would fly together later today, which I'm looking forward to, now that I have my memories it's almost like my first flight with him all over again. But for now I rushed to the training yard to start my martial training for the first time in this world, my mother followed behind me at her own pace. Not that I wasn't running, but only at a pace a child my age would. I'll have time to test out my vampiric physiques speed, strength, and everything else later. For now my Stark side of my family is waiting for me to start my training.

As my mother and I came to the training yard within the castle, passing by bowing guard's and servant's, some who seemed to fear both of us and others were happy to see us. Even wishing me best in starting my training. I could get used to being called prince and dragonlord, especially by these cute little servant's. As I came to the training yard I tasked my skill with a thought, 'Raphael, based on just my experience before my memories returned to my body, my wishes, and especially the Essences. Create a toned down simulation of my training so I don't seem beyond human to others, then guide my strength and speed during my training. We'll let lose and test my true vampire limits later tonight.'

When I spotted my father, Barthogan the Wandering Wolf, as he was known to the world, waiting for us. Obviously my mother being Valyrian, she is beautiful, even ethereal as those with Valyrian usually are, she reminds me of Kate Winslet from Titanic, she even has a beauty mark just above the edge of her lips just like Winslet. My father was no slouch in the looks either, no where as ethereal as my mother or the Valyrian, but still very handsome. He reminds me, oddly of Luke Evans from Dracula Untold, just with more beard and gruff. After my mother gave my father a quick kiss, she turned to me and said. " ȳdra daor indigon aōla naejot qopsa during aōha jēda trainging rūsīr kepa tubī Draegon, nykeā aōha kepa. Nyke kostagon daor emagon both hen ao naejot ēdrugī syt īlva ēlī hae nykeā lentor va se. Sir ziry vestragon Argella iksos emagon saved issa nykeā naejon row view syt se show. Aōha grandsire iksos gīda kesīr naejot ūndegon ao, issa byka Dragonwolf." ( Don't push yourself to hard during your time trainging with father today Draegon, or your father himself. I can not have both of you to tired for our first hunting trip as a family on the morrow. Now it seems Argella is has saved me a front row view for the show. Your grandsire is even here to see you, my little Dragonwolf.)

As my mother joined the Starks on the balcony, a servant came by and...
