Chapter 7: SS.01 Chapter 6
What's more, those people were very arrogant and treated themselves as the savior of the world. This is why they didn't attempt to reach out despite wanting to leave the place.
"Damn! What have I done?! How stupid I am for forgetting about my elder sister and lovely nephew!" Daniel was already about to fall asleep. He suddenly burst out almost wailing, making the other two startled.
"You are David Bradley's younger brother, right? If you are, then you don't have to worry. Dave is safe and he is with your older brother." Anna pretended that she didn't recognize him, making Dwayne and Daniel stunned.
"Sis, you know my nephew and brother? Why didn't you say so?" Daniel excitedly asked and leaned closed to the front seat.
"I accidentally met your nephew before meeting your arrogant older brother. I left Dave in his care." Anna snorted, feeling irritated as she remembered how David thought of her.
"Arrogant?" Daniel was left speechless but he couldn't blame Anna. There were truly some people that thought his brother was arrogant.
'Brother, you missed the chance of having a beautiful wife.' He feels regretful that Anna had a bad impression of his brother.
Daniel wanted to explain but Anna clicked her tongue in annoyance, making him swallow his words. 'Sorry, bother. There is nothing I can do to make her your wife.'
"Sis, do you know where my big brother goes?" Daniel forgot he just promised to drive for Anna any time. Once they meet David, they would surely leave.
"We are following them. You could transfer to their car if we are lucky enough to catch up with them." Anna said nonchalantly.
She has expected this to happen after informing Daniel about his brother and nephew. Anna felt helpless while thinking if she has to learn how to drive.
"That…" Daniel felt ashamed after realizing that he went back to his words. He could only sit back and take a rest since he would need to drive tomorrow.
"I can stay and drive for you, sis. If big brother David didn't have any news about my family, would you mind helping me find them?" Dwayne honestly said his thoughts as he didn't need to pretend.
Dwayne knew it might sound like he was bargaining with Anna, but unlike his best friend, he didn't have any news about his family. He could only try even how nervous he was.
Anna's eyes brightened, but she thought for a second. She tried to recall if there was anything in the story mentioning Dwayne's parents. It seems aside from his older brother, none of his family survived.
She hesitated whether to tell him since she didn't know how to explain how she knew about it. "Your family was at X City?"
"Did you meet them too, sis?" Dwayne felt hope, feeling nervous yet he concentrated on driving.
Dwayne was also frightened since he noticed that Anna didn't respond right away. There was already a guess in his mind. She might know that his family didn't survive. "Just tell me the truth, Sis."
"I accidentally met a middle-aged man and woman who seemed similar to you. But they were no longer living." Anna decided to tell him in another way. "I left them wandering in that house."
Dwayne didn't say a word. He digested what she meant. Still, tears started to fall from his eyes. He blinks multiple times to clear his sight. Otherwise, they might get into an accident.
He knew Anna would not say those words just to retain him being her driver. With her ability, she could find plenty of people who would be willing to drive for her.
There is no need to ask how Anna was able to get here from X city. Dwayne also understood that his parents had turned into zombies but she didn't kill them and left their house. What about his older brother? This gives hope that his brother was still alive, but where to find him?
"You can stop the car if you want to cry. I know it would hurt but with the current world's crisis, there is nothing we could do about it." Anna tried to console him. She didn't know how to comfort someone, but she still tried.
"I'm fine. I have already expected it since the beginning. I just hope my big brother is still alive." Dwayne's voice sounded a bit hoarse. He wiped his tears and took a deep breath as he continued driving.
"After we drop the noisy boy on the back to his arrogant brother, we will go to the South City base near X City. Maybe we will find your brother." Anna knew that his brother was in South City. He was also one of those people who gained an ability at the early stages of Apocalypse.
"Okay." Dwayne was happy to hear that Anna seemed to have an idea where to find his brother. Hence, his painful heart after knowing his parents didn't survive was slightly relieved.
"Sis, that is unfair! And I am not a noisy boy. How could you two go on a trip without me?" Daniel wailed.
"You have to let your family know that you are alive, or else they will keep on trying to find you." Anna reminded him, making Daniel pout like a child.
'Shit, I forgot that David's base was in the south city too!' Anna feels speechless by these coincidences.
It was like she was always being brought back to meet David again, making her feel more suspicious that her arrival in this world has something to do with him.
After traveling nonstop for two days and one night, Anna could feel her bond with Red getting near. With the distance, she has already seen a few military trucks parked next to a farmhouse. "About a kilometer away, you will see a few military trucks."
"Wow! That was amazing, Sis, you could even see that far?!" Daniel, who was driving, was very excited.
Those two days were enough for them to worship Anna's ability and see what she is capable of. They were shocked to learn that she also had a lightning ability which was very cool and powerful.
When they passed by a convenience store, they would stop. They were also taught how to use their light swords and fight against the zombies. It was also evident that Anna didn't seem hungry at all since she would only eat a bit of fruit.
As soon as they stopped next to an army vehicle, a gun was instantly pointed towards them. Daniel opened the window and popped out his head and yelled. "Big brother, it's me! Daniel!"
Pak! There was a slap in his head, making Daniel look at Dwayne in grievance but his best friend reprimanded him. "Stupid! Are you trying to attract zombies?!"
Daniel pouted his lips before getting out of the car, raising both his arms as he walked towards the farmhouse. "Big brother, it's Daniel and Dwayne. Anna is also with us."
'Come on brother. Make a good impression on your future wife!' He exclaimed in his mind, but he didn't notice that Anna didn't even come out of the car.
The soldiers in the lookout put down their guns while hurried footsteps abruptly sounded from the farmhouse. When David came out, Daniel was about to pounce at his big brother, but he embraced nothing.
Dumbfounded by how his brother didn't even look at him, Daniel turned to look at David who walked in a haste towards the Hummer and suddenly opened the passenger seat. Anna, who was planning to lock the car, was too late to respond.
As soon as the door was opened, there was a large palm that held the back of her head, pulling her forward and a sudden kiss fell on her lips. Startled, Anna's mind turned blank. She felt his hot lips nibbling hers.
David pressed his lips into hers, using the tip of his tongue as he opened her teeth and instantly explored every inch inside her mouth before hooking her tongue, sucking it hard.
With her mind turning blank, Anna has no idea she was clumsily responding to his kisses. She didn't know how long David had been kissing her. He released her from his deep kiss when they were both almost out of breath.
He was still nibbling her soft lip before saying in between his kisses. "You are not allowed to leave me again."
Coming back to her senses, Anna was stunned again. "What?" But she didn't have a chance to say another word as David gave her another deep kiss.
After almost out of breath, David released her again. They were both panting heavily but he scooped her from the passenger seat and took her in his arms before taking her out of the car.
"Bro, come. Pinch me. Tell me that I am not dreaming. Did I just see my big brother looking hungry while kissing my sister goddess?" Daniel whispered to Dwayne who was also dumbfounded by what they saw.
"I think I was also dreaming." Dwayne also mumbled in disbelief.
"Mommy! Mommy! I don't want him to be my daddy!" Dave's voice turned Daniel and Dwayne's minds into a mess.
"Damn! When did my sister goddess become a mother and how did my big brother become a daddy?!" Daniel was in shock while grabbing his chest in exaggeration.
"But why did the boy sound familiar?" He then added while watching the drama between the three.
With Anna in his arms, David felt helpless with his nephew crying out while running towards them. This child had been arguing about taking him away from his beloved mommy.
Dave keeps on saying he didn't want him to be his daddy, yet David couldn't say he was his uncle. Otherwise, there is no way he could retrieve his wife.
Fortunately, the little cat came to them when they stopped somewhere to take a rest. It finally soothed his little nephew who had been crying that day, asking for his mommy.
David also noticed that the cat was not an ordinary animal since it was able to find them after traveling for a day. Anyway, his wife was not ordinary, it won't be strange that her pet is the same.
Anna finally snapped out from being in a daze, but before she could get mad at David, her feet fell to the ground while Dave instantly pounced on her legs.
"Mommy… Mommy… Don't leave… Dave will be very obedient…" The child started to cry, making Anna panic.
She bent down and took Dave in her arms while trying to comfort him. "Don't cry, baby… Sorry, mommy has to leave…"
"No. Your mommy is not leaving anymore so don't cry." David interjected, making Dave stop crying, pulling his face away from Anna's chest, glaring at his uncle before humping and embracing his mommy.
David felt speechless by his nephew's reaction, while Anna took the child in her arms, standing straight and turning to look at him before stumping at his feet.
He instantly wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled them towards him. "Your mommy will not leave anymore. Daddy will not let her leave again."
"I don't want you! You are a bad guy!" Dave retorted as he buried his face on Anna's neck while whimpering. "Mommy, I don't want him to be my daddy. Dave didn't want that bad guy."
"Baby, don't worry, this bad guy won't be your daddy." Anna agreed, she still hated him for what he said about her before.
"Wife, you can't leave your husband and child alone. In this kind of world, we both need your protection." David shamelessly said, making everyone who was watching completely stupefied, and wide-eyed in incredulity.
They were in disbelief to watch a tall and good-looking soldier who was a major, known as the devil in their special task force, cold and indifferent, yet shamelessly asking his beautiful wife to be protected with his child.
This is enough to make the other soldiers feel ashamed of how thick their boss's face was. They suddenly want to say they didn't know this person at all.
"Damn! I never imagined that my brother could be this shameless!" Daniel exclaimed in disbelief, making everyone around nod in agreement.
"Hold on, how did my nephew end up becoming my sister goddess's son with my brother as the daddy?" Daniel confusedly mumbled.
He thought that his sister goddess and his brother David had a child. But hearing Dave's voice and complaints, Daniel was sure the child was his cute nephew but was confused about what was happening.
"Didn't Anna mention she accidentally met Dave before meeting big brother David? It may be the reason why your nephew has become his mother." Dwayne mumbled in response.
The soldier nearby suddenly came and whispered to them, explaining everything that happened between the three. Since he was their boss's brother, it would be better for them to know the situation. Besides, it may help them ask Anna to stay.
This also includes what happened to Dave's parents, making both Daniel and Dwayne's eyes reddened. After they left home without authorization, they began bugging Dave's mother and father less than two months ago until they were instructed to stay in the same City.
This is why they didn't go too far and were found by Anna in the same City. When they heard she met Dave, there is a possibility that both parents didn't survive, but tried convincing themselves that the family of three were all safe with David.
After the soldier was done talking, the two were very grateful to Anna, their grief was also washed away and they were instantly dumbfounded.
Their lips twitched, feeling very ashamed of what David has done. No wonder Anna hated him that much. Still, they need to find a way to convince their sister goddess to stay with them.
"Who wants to protect you? Didn't you say that I was just using my baby as leverage against you?!" Anna was itching to punch the shamelessly man in front of her.
"It is fine to use our son as leverage. No, you don't need to do it. I am willing to offer my body." He shamelessly added.
Anna said in dismay. "Who the hell wants your body?! I just came here to send your noisy little brother. If you can't protect him and my baby, I have no choice but to take them away with me!"
"My body is just for you. I also cannot protect myself, so you should take me away with you too. " David nodded seriously.
"I don't think I can watch anymore. This is not my big brother. He has probably been swapped. He couldn't be this shameless and very disgusting." Daniel added again while the soldiers are speechless.
"I don't want your weak body! And why would I care if you can't protect yourself?!" Anna said in disgust.
With a dangerous glint in his eyes, David lowered his head and sexily whispered in her ears. "Wife, why don't we try tonight and see if your husband's body is truly weak? Hmm?"
He slightly bit her earlobe, licking it lightly with the tip of his tongue before sucking it hard, making Anna's body shudder.
"Wife, as long as you agree, I will prove that my body is not that weak. It would be better if we are back on base but since you think that way, we can put it in advance."
"What?" Flabbergasted after her ears were sucked and licked, Anna looked at him with confusion. What did he mean? Hold on, did David just take advantage of her again? Why would he even lick her ear?!
Watching her confused expression, David felt very useless. He had no choice but to stop seducing his innocent wife. Anyway, as long as she won't leave again, there is plenty of time to seduce her.
"Nothing. My dear wife, what am I saying is that I can't protect them on my own, but you know you can't take them away from me." He helplessly said, embracing her tightly, ignoring his little nephew who also looked confused about what he said.
Anna stiffened. That was true. As the uncle and brother of the two boys, she couldn't take them away. But if that would be the case, it means she also needed to stay with this shameless man.
"Right! Sister goddess, you can stay with us. My big brother is too weak. He won't be able to protect me and my nephew. No, I mean your baby."
"Besides, my brother would surely help Dwayne to look for his big brother. You two don't need to get separated from us to go to the base near South City." Daniel happily interjected.
"You plan to go to the South base? That is where we are heading." David felt pleased and threw a satisfied gaze towards his younger brother. He didn't expect that his stupid brother could be in good use.
"Wife, my little brother is right, we can travel together. At the same time, you can protect us and our son." David shamelessly said, making Daniel and the others cover their faces with their hands in shame.
"Did Apocalypse affect people's brains and become shameless? Or is this the new way to pursue a wife?" Daniel mumbled again.
Daniel still couldn't accept that the very shameless person trying to pursue his goddess was his elder brother.
He didn't know whether to be happy that, after being single for almost thirty years, David finally took interest in a woman, or to be sad that his beautiful sister would be eaten by his shameless older brother.
"Your big brother made a bad impression on sister. He could only try and work hard if he wanted to be with a beautiful and powerful wife." Dwayne honestly approved for David to be this shameless.
