Chapter 61: Secrets

I opened my eyes slowly. At first, all I see are rays of light.

I closed my eyes and reopened them. Then I'm finally able to concentrate on the roof. I looked around me.

I can see the chairs and most importantly, the room is white unlike where I was fighting with the zombies.

Where am I exactly? I tried to move but I'm unable to do so. I looked down at my body. I'm on the bed and there are chains over my body.

Truly, zombies can never do this. Zombies eat upon sighting. It's one of the zombies' instincts.

So, why am I like this?

Mathias was right. I shouldn't have tried to go rescue others alone. But I was right when I said Max wouldn't go with us.

If Max had gone with me, he might have died by now.

And yes, something is definitely off somewhere.

And I'm pretty sure it's Charles. I just don't know what he wants with me.

Suddenly, smoke started coming from the AC near to me.

I tried to jerk free but the ropes are hard.

Gosh! I hate this bullshit seriously.
