Chapter 14: Weariness
Mario: Are we there yet, Lo?
Lo: Almost, at this rate, we'll be at- (suddenly looks ahead & is distraught) oh no
(On the park, the Murder Drone takes hostage to E. Gadd & Nakano)
Mario: Oh boy, this seemed to be the way to straighten out.
(Mario then lands while Zel & SMG4 pop out)
Zel: Dad! (to Lo) How is he taking part of this?
SMG4: I don't know, but that drone's hungry. Look.
(The drone then opens her teeth & is going to eat his head off)
KP: Then we got no time to lose! Come on! (proceeds heading to the enemy)
Lo: Don't worry, Zel's dad. We'll sa- (suddenly, he got ensnared on a net) What in the?
Hal: Glad to see me again, MURDERER?
Lo: You don't understand, officer. This beast here's the real trouble, not me.
Hal: Sip it! I'm Officer Hal Monitor & you're under arrest for the Halloween Suburban Incident.
Lo: But that ain't me. Some demon just controlled me & i had no recollection on what happened.
Hal: A likely story, BUT YOU SCARRED ME WITH YOUR HANDS! & those will be behind bars.
Lo: I wouldn't count on that.
(Lo then frees himself using his lightsaber, & throws the net to Hal. This gave him enough time to run off)
Hal: I swear onto my fallen brothers i will get you.
(While Lo's busy dealing with Hal...)
Mario: HEY BIRDBRAIN! (the drone notices him mooning) Come & get some of this! (the drone then lets go of her bait & rushes to him) well, Mario is f**kd'. (starts flying off, trying to not get caught)
Zel: Good work, Mario. Keep it up!
Nakano: Zel, what's going on?
Zel: Save the questions for later, dad. This is dangerous.
SMG4: (arrives with KP & a net) We got the net.
Zel: Well let's hurry quick. This beast's really hungry on Mario.
(On the drone's perspective, it said Mario is #1 priority. That master really needed him bad)
KP: Wait, where's Lo? He's needed for the whole plan.
Lo: (exhausted) I'm here.
Zel: Woah, what happened to you?
Lo: I don't want to talk about it.
(Eventually, Mario flew over the trapping area)
Mario: Zel, this better work.
Zel: Relax. It's all accurately- NOW!
(KP then ejects SMG4 & Lo, both holding the net. They eventually caught the drone & landed on the ground)
E. Gadd, NOW!
E. Gadd: On it. (tazes the beast to knocking it out)
Lo: Excellent work. Now, why do i hear police sirens?
(Suddenly, the police arrived, including Hal)
Hal: YOU!
Lo: uh oh
KP: EVERYONE, IN ME! FAST!
(the gang gets in King Pipe & he retreats to the surface. Hal barely missed him by an inch)
Police Toad: Sir, we don't know where he went.
Hal: No matter. (eyes onto the Drone) This fellow might tell us what we want.
~Apartment Basement~
KP: (comes out) Alright, coast is clear. (ejects the gang)
Nakano: I don't understand. Why is that drone about to get me? Who are any of you guys?
Kirby: I think we know how.
SMG4: Kirby, how do you find us?
Kirby: King Pipe texted me onto where to go. It's hard finding the place in limited time.
Nakano: Why is that blob talking?
Lo: Excuse me sir, but that's Kirby, Professor E. Gadd, SMG4, & you do met KP & Mario.
E.Gadd: I do know there's a lot of questions to be answered. To answer that, let me tell you a story.
A long time ago, there's a being of no name. He went destroying place after place that echoes around the cosmos. But one day, he sided with those giant Mass Effect beings, the Reapers. While he's busy plotting his revenge, the reapers had created a genocidal superweapon.
A weapon capable of cleansing the world upon impact. It was called: "COllosal Planetary PArasite". The given energy's too unstable to destroy manually, but after years of work, i've managed to build defense so strong, it will destroy the weapon whole.
Kirby: Of course, i helped. Given i analyzed & gathered enough resources to construct it.
SMG4: How much time do we have before it hits?
E. Gadd: By my coordinates, it's when the year ends.
Mario: & how much time you'll build the defense?
Kirby: Just until the day before it hits. At New Year's Eve.
Lo: Can anyone know about this?
Zel: I think they will once they see this "second moon" right after Christmas.
Kirby: Bingo.
Nakano: I don't believe this. My baby girl got into some danger, those buffoons saved me, & the WORLD'S ABOUT TO END?
Mario: Don't worry about us, sir. Because we will always got your back.
Lo: Even me.
Zel: Please, father. for my sake?
Nakano: (feels pressured onto the situation, but is calmed down) For whatever makes you happy, you go on ahead.
(Amidst a blob of emotions, Zel then feels proud she's given permission. The others, however, are lucky for the two)
Zel: (hugs him out of sheer joy) Thanks, father.
KP: Anyways, have any of you seen Maya? She isn't with us during all this.
SMG4: Yeah, it's kinda weird.
Mario: Wait, do any of you think it's sus on what she looks like? I mean, the drone looked eeriely similar...
Lo: Nah, that's a coincidence. I'm pretty sure she's tired like us.
Everyone: Agreed.
???: (circa phone call) Is the weapon right on course?
Reaper: Positive. But rumors abound that something will stop the plan.
???: Well amplify it's defenses upon arrival. Once their hands are mine, my wish will come true!
Ztar: & what will it be, master?
???: Only time will tell. & that time, they'll ALL be coming...
(he then laughs over the echoed walls, for his plan's more unlikely among the others)
Ztar: Wait, we're missing her.
~Mushroom Kingdom Jail~
Police Toad: Sir, is it ok you'd leave her outside of the cell?
Hal: It's fine. That thing's deactivated, & if it were to come back, we'll taze em'.
PT 2: Captain, something's approaching to us at high speed.
Hal: Ready your weapons. There's no idea what will be-
(the wall then broke open, revealing Ztar. The police tried firing to him, but he took the drone, & fled off)
PT 3: It's getting away!
Hal: Ready your police cars, gentlemen.
(A high speed chase ensues between the police & Ztar. He managed to escape them by tossing the drone in a well & dived onto the ravine)
Drone: (reboots herself) Wait, where am i? (Incoming Phone Call)
Ztar: You're safe now. It's too unsafe for you to go out here. Better meet back at his lair in a few days. Good luck.
Drone: Well you'd tell me AFTER I FELL IN THE WELL HERE!
(the drone later flew off & is received messages from an unknown host. As she reads them, she starts to doubt if it's the right thing to do)
