Chapter 39: Intentions

Lithe's cheeks felt like they were set on fire.

Perhaps what Ash said was true. 

Lithe had wanted to be alone with him.

He wanted to know Ash's reasons for marrying Christina.

Definitely hadn't liked the answers he received but at least Ash had been honest to a fault in his intentions concerning Lithe.

At some point he had wanted Ash to tell him that he loved only him.

He had always wanted Ash to care for him, to crave his mind not just his body to shower Lithe with nothing but affection and kisses.

Somewhere in the heat of the moment the delusions had faded and reality had set in.

Ash would never truly love him the way that Lithe wanted to be loved.

Ash would never put Lithe first.

Ash would always choose money over any possible happiness or future with Lithe. 

Intentions…

Lithe gasped loudly, outraged by the fact that Zen would even voice loudly such an absurd question.
