"so it's phase 2 huh?" Yuta said, facing the imposing figure of the mountain god, his grip firm on the katana gifted by Rika.
"My curse technique is 'Copy'," he stated, but suddenly he gave the curse an info dump.
"It lets me copy other people's cursed techniques depending on how much DNA of the person I have consumed.
The more DNA I eat, the faster I can use the cursed technique as if it were my own.
If it was only a few strands of hair, then I can only use the cursed technique through a tool or weapon that Rika will provide for me.
Of course, even if it was only a strand of hair, given enough time, I will slowly assimilate their cursed technique and be able to use it as my own.
The girl who possesses this cursed technique is rather reluctant to give me her blood, so I only have a few saliva samples from each time I share my drinks with her." The katana exuded darkness, a black fog forming from the blades, and the god of the mountain focused its eyes on the blade.
"Sorry if it's boring, I am just trying to increase my efficiency with her cursed technique by making a binding vow with you," the boy said as he held his katana and assumed his stance. He held it to his head while pointing the blade at the curse.
"Anyway, you can die now," and he disappeared.
𝙎𝙡𝙖𝙨𝙝
The curse's head suddenly formed a slashed mark, and the top half of it fell to the ground.
"Eh~ what a boring curse. Maybe the grandma is not lying and it's actually a grade 2," Yuta remarked, appearing behind the slashed curse, his katana still in his hand as he nonchalantly insulted the curse.
𝙎𝙬𝙤𝙤𝙨𝙝!
Suddenly, a black tendril-like shadow attacked him from behind. Yuta sensed the attack as he heard the chiming sounds of bells from the curse's movement, and he swiftly cut the tendril off with his katana.
"As I thought, it won't be that easy, eh?" The god of the mountain stood tall. its head fully reformed after Yuta's previous attack, and is now laughed at him maniacally.
"Let's see how long you can keep regenerating," Yuta challenged, his voice filled with mockery as he disappeared once more.
With lightning speed, his strikes became a blur as he relentlessly attacked the curse, each blow carving deep slash marks into its form.
The air crackled with tension as Yuta's relentless assault seemed to intensify with each passing moment.
But every time he slashed the curse, the previous wound had already regenerated, no matter how fast he went.
"Alright, either you are super good at regeneration, OR this is not your real body," Yuta remarked as he dodged the curse's attempt at retaliation.
"Oy Granny! Is there something you know about this curse?!" Realizing that his plan to just punch the curse until it dies won't work in this situation, Yuta asked the only person who seemed to know how this curse works.
"The god of the mountain has no power outside of the barrier!" The granny yelled from the gate of the shrine, and Yuta quickly formulated a plan.
And that is to tell Rika to punch the barrier until it breaks.
"Go, Rika!" Swiftly emerging from Yuta's shadow, Rika flew to the top of the barrier and punched it with all her might.
But it did nothing
"Tch," Yuta clicked his tongue in frustration as he saw the barrier, which remained unscathed by Rika's powerful punch.
"𝘋𝘰𝘮𝘢𝘪𝘯 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘤𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘣𝘦 𝘶𝘯𝘣𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘬𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘪𝘯𝘴𝘪𝘥𝘦 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘸𝘦𝘢𝘬 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘰𝘶𝘵𝘴𝘪𝘥𝘦" Yuta remembered a bit of information regarding domains from his previous world.
'We are all already inside, so there's no point in trying to think of that method. This curse seems to be immortal. No matter how many times I've slashed it, it keeps regenerating.
No weak point, not even a loss in its cursed energy. How can I even kill this thing?' Yuta frustratedly kept attacking the curse over and over again, but all of his attacks always remained futile as it just kept regenerating again and again.
'No, there is no such thing as full immortality. It must be some kind of binding vow,' Yuta kept thinking, trying his best to figure out the peculiar nature of the curse.
"This is bad," the granny and the shady-looking man both looked at the scene while sweating heavily.
The sorcerer boy, true to his words, is extremely strong. He is so fast that they can't even see him whenever he slashes at the curse.
But no matter how many times he keeps dicing the curse up, the god of the mountain keeps regenerating back.
#Help# The shady-looking man heard the call for help, recognizing the voice from years ago when he was just a child.
'Sorry it took me this long' he thought
"Yuta-sama! The shrine! Attack the Shrine!" Rom's urgent voice cut through the chaos.
Yuta swiftly changed course, his focus now on the shrine, feeling the weight of the situation pressing down on him.
The god of the mountain shrieked loudly, its dark tendrils moving quickly to trap Yuta before he could reach his target.
"Rika!" Yuta's desperate cry filled the air as he summoned his cursed spirit. With resolve, Rika soared towards the shrine at incredible speed, the outcome hanging in the balance.
𝘽𝙤𝙤𝙢!
And she punched it to the ground
The domain started to crack, and Rom's eyes widened as he saw the soul of a woman dressed in a shrine Miko attire, her face concealed by a cloth, emerging from the shattered shrine.
'𝘕𝘰! 𝘗𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘦!' inside of a shrine, a woman was held down while her head was tied by 8 ropes tied into the walls
'𝘖𝘩 𝘨𝘰𝘥 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘮𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘵𝘢𝘪𝘯, 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘭𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘴 𝘢𝘴 𝘢 𝘴𝘢𝘤𝘳𝘪𝘧𝘪𝘤𝘦, 𝘱𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘦 𝘣𝘭𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘶𝘴 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘺' and the man chop her head of, leaving her body to fall to the ground while her head being supported by the ropes
'Thank you' Rom hears the voice of the shrine maiden's soul, expressing gratitude as it fades away, and the domain shatters along with her.
