Chapter 24: Promises

Maya immediately got into the car, and Ray deftly started the car engine and walked slowly behind the car that Inaya was driving herself without being seen.

They walked along the small streets around the Blimbing area until they arrived at busier Jalan Sukarno-Hatta.

Ray's eyes continued to follow the movement of Inaya's car, which then accelerated because he suspected he was being followed.

"We seem to have been caught," whispered Ray, who immediately stepped aside so that Inaya wouldn't become more suspicious.

"Yeah, he stopped too! Run quickly!" Maya asked, her face starting to get scared.

Without thinking, Ray immediately stepped on the gas pedal, turned the steering wheel to the right, and accelerated the speed of the car he was driving, leaving Inaya, who looked annoyed.

"He's annoyed," chuckled Maya, then patted Ray's shoulder, which was so precise when stepping on the gas pedal.
