"Yes, already. Get down there!" Mike's harsh words brought his eyebrows back together.
"Sometimes soft, sometimes rough. Sometimes, it's annoying, but the seduction makes you swoon. Duh, this guy. If it weren't for the fact that he's my father's friend's son, I would have boiled him a long time ago!" growled Maya, who immediately ran over to her twin sister, who was waiting alone.
Miya kept his head down and occasionally felt his stomach; he was shocked when Maya was suddenly seen walking towards him.
"Big brother!"
"Sis! Where's Dad?" Maya asked and held out her hand.
"Dad is sick. He had a heart attack," Miya sobbed again, and Maya's shoulder immediately became a place to lean on her sister, who was so sad about this incident.
"It's okay! It's not the first time our dad has had a heart attack, right?! He'll get better!"
"It's not that," whispered Miya, who continued to sob. Then, his legs became weak, and he took a few steps back to a waiting chair in the ICU room. "Something is wrong."
"What?" asked Maya, trying to get to the bottom of her sister's sadness. "Story, Sis! Let there be no lies between us."
"No, really! It's my fault! It's not a lie, but..."
"Miya!" called Mike, who seemed more worried about Maya's twin sister than his girlfriend. "You're okay, right?"
"What are you asking?" asked Maya in surprise. "It's Dad who's sick."
"No!" Mike looked at Maya, who didn't accept the question. "I mean, he took your dad to the hospital. So I'm afraid he's got something wrong, too."
"What are you talking about, anyway?" Maya frowned again. "You guys have something going on, right? Come on, admit it!"
When Maya's question was asked, Miya's tears started flowing again, even though the sweet girl's face remained flat.
"I..." Miya felt her stomach again and then looked at Mike.
"Yes, why?" Maya Ask.
"It's nothing!" Mike broke off and chuckled. "She's perfectly healthy!"
"I didn't ask you, Mike! I asked my sister. Why do you guys always look so weird!"
"Are you Miss Maya?" asked a nurse, tapping Maya on the shoulder as she turned her back to the ICU door.
"Yes, I am!" replied Maya, still angry.
"We want to talk to you, please follow me!"
"What's wrong?" asked Maya in confusion.
"It's about your father!"
Maya nodded and left Rob and Miya, who were still looking at each other in front of the ICU door, following the nurse who took them to a doctor's room a few meters away from where they were talking with their lover and twin.
The conversation had actually made Winata's eldest child know that something was being covered up between Mike and Miya, but because of this condition, she had to be a little patient to reveal it.
"Doctor, this is Miss Maya," said the nurse as they arrived inside the doctor's room, where a well-built man waited for Tasya with a worried look.
"Doc, what's wrong?" asked Maya, who had consulted the middle-aged doctor several times.
"Your father had a terrible attack. Something bad must have happened."
"Bad things?" Maya sat in front of the doctor and grabbed the hand of the man wearing a doctor's coat with trembling hands. "What?"
"I don't know! Your father can't even make a sound because of this attack!"
"Oh my, is it that bad?!"
The doctor nodded slowly and grabbed Maya's hand, gripping his arm. "If you want your father to survive, please don't make any more news."
"What? I don't understand!"
"No idea! I'm also still waiting to hear from the servant at your house who witnessed your father's heart attack this time!"
"Uh! This day is full of mysteries. I need to know what's going on!!!" said Maya as she punched the doctor's desk with her trembling right hand.
"Do you know anything?" the doctor asked softly.
"No!" said Maya and sighed. "First Miya, then Mike, now Dad. They must have something!"
"But what?"
Maya shook her head quickly. "I'll ask the people at home. They'll know what's wrong with the three of them!"
"Yes, you calm down first. I just don't want this heart attack to spread to you! Just calm down first!"
"Doc!" A woman entered the doctor's office without knocking and sat beside Tasya with a gentle smile.
"Mum," Maya approached the middle-aged woman, her stepmother, and hugged her gently.
"Mum was home when my dad had his heart attack, right?"
"Yes!"
"Good!" Maya smiled happily. "What do you know about this incident?"
"Your father knows that we can't repay the debt to the Araya family."
"Araya family?! That's Mike's family? Is it possible for them to make a big deal out of our family's late payment of debts when my relationship is fine!" Maya sobbed.
"Yes! They want the debts paid immediately, Maya. But because your father has been so sick lately, we've had to postpone a lot of business so we can't pay even 10% of our total debt!"
"Hah!" Maya was wide-eyed; she had no idea that the company her father had started decades ago was in such a bad state. "Why didn't I know about this?"
"We deliberately kept it a secret, you are still young and still have to go to school to be your father's right hand!" said Inayah, Maya's stepmother.
"So what should we do now?"
"They want the debt repayment to be accelerated!"
"How can we pay? You said my father's company is not doing well?!"
"Yes, they'll consider it all paid off if we agree to Miya and Rob's wedding!" Inayah smiled for a moment and then made a worried face.
It was only a momentary smile, but Maya could see it, and she knew immediately that something was wrong with this debt repayment plan. "You must be joking!"
"No!" said Inaya once again. "Once we get Miya and Mike married, then we'll be out of debt to the Araya family who keep adding interest to your father's company loans!"
"But why Miya? Rob's right," Maya sat limply as she stared at Inaya and the doctor attending to her father. She hoped what her stepmother had just said was a joke because it had been just a few days since she and Miya had their anniversary.
"I hope you will accept this fact, Maya. You have to be strong and let's take care of your father until he recovers."
Maya didn't answer Inaya's words; she just continued to sigh, trying to accept the bitter reality of her love story with Mike, which she had been running for the past year.
"What if I don't want to?"
"If you don't want to, then Miya will be embarrassed," Inaya whispered again.
"Why?" Maya was upset.
"Maya is already pregnant with Mike's child. So if you don't agree it means the child won't have a father!"
"WHAT? Miya is pregnant with Mike's child?!"
