As soon as the carriage left, my mind drifted to asking my father for his blessing to allow me to leave once I became king.
It will not be a good idea to leave the kingdom once crowned, but I can trust Caleigh to be a good queen while I'm away.
I paused in my tracks, rethinking my decision. Surely my father wouldn't want this idea and would postpone my coronation once I got the bolts.
No, this isn't right. He would double-cross me when that happens.
The sound of armor distracted me from my racing thoughts.
"You are dismissed," I spoke with my jaw clenched and walked toward the castle garden for a walk.
What happens from now on will require great strategy and planning. If I were to quest for this Master Bolts, no one must know where it will be, for they'll use it for their gain.
