"Thank you." My voice was breathy as I tried to calm my heart.
"Tch. This won't do." He said and pulled me up and in one swoop I was straddling him, he put my hands over his shoulders,
"Put your legs on either side of the bag, I can't hold you."
How creative.
I couldn't help but smile as he helped me to use the bags as support.
Then he turned to get the sword and hold the cane with his other hand as we prudently hiked the slippery slope. The bunnies continued the long haul while Xavion occasionally lost control or slid.
Thank Lycaon he has strong knees because now that he is carrying another person behind his back, it's harder to control his pace.
Finally, after what felt like an eternity, we reached the flat ground.
"Let's take a breather, there's a stream nearby." He said and walked further to reach the stream.
Did he forget he's carrying a person on his back?
"You can put me down now."
