Wu Jinmai's POV
I don't know why I pulled Shanguan Zu Jin into a corner and panicked when I saw Zhang Yihua and her father crossing their path with us.
Out of the blue, I drag him here and hide. I even kissed him to make sure he wouldn't see them.
I feel like if he saw them, I'd lose something, and that was Zu Jin. I held his hand and intertwined our fingers.
"Because I am keeping you all by myself. Can you celebrate the festival with me? Even for a moment, is that okay with you, A'Zu?" I whispered.
He leaned his face on my shoulder and sighed several times. "You're tricking me again," he mumbled.
I thought he would disagree, but when we left the alley, he didn't shake off my hand.
For some reason, the whole place is brighter and livelier. We are walking around and checking the stalls.
"How much are the red bean buns?" I ask.
