Ezra heaved a deep breath as he stared at his master. He bit his lips hard and clenched his hand into a tight fist, "Master…" Ezra mumbled in a low voice.

While this wasn't the first, second, or even the hundred times he had seen someone who wanted to kill his master, he had never been worried about it in the slightest. Because he knew those people were just eager to die and nothing else.

But when the threat was coming from Devon, Ezra felt things were going to be different this time around.
