Chapter 66: Damaged

There was a sudden sharp intake of breath and the world seemed to stop for a split second. No one in the room dared to move, and suddenly the werewolves in the room scented the same thing Aiden had. The heavy scent of fear, blood, and sex. And they knew what their pack mate had said was true.

Jean’s world was collapsing in on itself and the room’s lights flickered. The temperature dropped and the windows cracked at the pressure her magic was emitting.

She stalked toward the man, whimpering, and bleeding and she felt nothing but deep-seated resentment fill her. She was suddenly awash in regret; she should have let the wolf finish what he had started.

“This rodent touched my little girl?” she did not even recognize her own voice.

The younger wolves scurried out of the room in fear. Griffon was still holding Aiden in his arms, and Aaron was glaring at the second abductor who had cowered when his son had changed before them.
