Chapter 79: Chapter 79

Stark Building, Engineering Workshop.

A red and black armor stood in the center of the workshop. This suit was notably thinner and less robust than Tony's other models, resembling a bulkier version of the portable Mark 5. Its defensive capabilities seemed unremarkable, and its overall functionality didn't appear much different from other types of armor.

Suddenly, under Jarvis's control, the armor activated. The circular energy core in its chest began outputting high-power energy, and a ring of ancient magic symbols, no larger than a nail, emerged around it, glowing faintly blue. At the same time, a circular portal made of countless sparks opened before the battle armor, responding to the signal sent by Tony's suit and aligning with the predetermined location.

The armor stepped forward, passed through the portal, and appeared 150 meters behind Tony.

Meanwhile, Tony was conversing with Abel and Rhodey, buying time and preparing to back away. The sudden appearance of the portal and armor caught the attention of Obadiah and his allies, who wasted no time rushing toward Tony's direction.

However, Abel and Rhodey were determined not to let them get close. Rhodey moved forward to provide cover fire, while Abel brandished his wand, summoning a surge of earth that erupted like the ocean. A massive wall of earth and stone rose around them, creating a barrier against the Obadiah trio. Though the walls crumbled quickly under their assault, the delay was sufficient.

Abel and Rhodey exchanged a knowing glance, agreeing to target Obadiah. Abel delayed him with spells while Rhodey suppressed Zach with a barrage of firepower. Meanwhile, Vanke rushed forward, intent on taking down Tony.

At that moment, Tony dashed toward the Mark Ω Anti-Magic Armor. With his back to the Mark VI, the rear of his suit quickly transformed, opening up. Simultaneously, the front of the Mark Ω suit also deformed, allowing Tony to escape the Mark VI and enter the Mark Ω.

Vanke, focused on the Mark VI in front of him, swung his high-voltage electric whip, striking it squarely in the chest and sending it flying. He quickly followed up with another strike aimed at Tony, who had just entered the Mark Ω.

But as the high-voltage whip approached, the chest and palms of the Mark Ω armor erupted with red light. An invisible barrier formed around Tony, fully absorbing the whip's electric shock without budging.

"How is this possible? What kind of technology is this?" Vanke exclaimed.

"Technology? This is magic!" Tony replied, raising his hand toward Vanke. A circle of ancient magic symbols appeared in his palm, as the energy core in his chest emitted a surge of energy, transforming it into magical power. A torrent of lava-like energy surged from his palm, blasting into Vanke and sending him sprawling.

As Tony assessed the energy consumption displayed on his suit, he was surprised by the figures. Despite having seen the data before, experiencing it in combat was a different matter. The magic shield and the lava plasma attack had consumed nearly 8% of the energy from the new second-generation light arc reactor. He realized that had he used the first-generation reactor, it would have depleted nearly half his energy in that one attack.

However, such high energy consumption equated to explosive power. From the outset, this armor was designed to handle fortifications and engage magical foes quickly; it was never intended for protracted battles. A resolution was needed within 15 minutes, or else they would face the risk of allowing their magical opponents time to regroup.

Vanke slowly picked himself up from the ground, disbelief evident on his face as he assessed the damage on his armor. The edges of his suit bore scorch marks, proof of Tony's formidable attack. He knew how impressive his armor's defense was, and witnessing its damage firsthand made it clear just how powerful Tony's seemingly delicate armor truly was.

If he were in Obadiah's position, he would have started contemplating an escape plan.

Yet, Vanke, with a mindset of either victory or demise, refused to back down. He understood Tony's power but also the level of energy required for such feats. He still believed he had a chance to win, especially since he held a secret weapon—one that even Obadiah and Zach were unaware of.

Tony levitated off the ground, floating down beside Abel and Rhodey. The flight system of Mark Ω was distinct from the others, entirely reliant on magical energy for propulsion. This innovation enhanced its stealth capabilities, allowing it to evade heat detection and other tracking methods.

"How are you feeling, Tony?" Abel asked.

"Not bad, but the energy consumption is quite significant," Tony replied.

"This isn't a conventional battle armor. Higher energy consumption is expected. Plus, this is just an experimental model; the final version will need fine-tuning," Rhodey added.

As soon as Rhodey finished speaking, Abel transformed into a cloud of black smoke, evading an incoming attack.

Tony quickly raised his hand to conjure another magic shield, preparing to block an onslaught from Obadiah.

In the air, surrounded by swirling black smoke, Abel addressed Tony and Rhodey: "We need to go all out to eliminate them—no more delays."

"Coming from you, that's rich! We've had our fair share of trouble from the start, but you're the one who seems to be taking it easy," Tony retorted with a chuckle, glancing at the three opponents below. As he said, it was time to get serious.

Having inherited magic from his previous life, Abel's abilities primarily centered on human-oriented spells. After clashing with Obadiah twice, he understood his own shortcomings. Though he couldn't completely compensate for his weaknesses in the short time available, he had made preparations. Now that the three of Obadiah had gathered, it was the perfect moment to unleash his magic.

With a graceful flick of his wand, a scorching red electric current surged forth as he concentrated his magical power, ready for the decisive moment.
