Abel observed as the test bench was fine-tuned, the oak core serving as the wand's body. Laser beams sliced into the meticulously cut and polished wand, guided by J.A.R.V.I.S., inscribing ancient magical texts and circuits at a speed far surpassing Abel's manual efforts.
"I've always said that while technology may not aid the study of magic, it can certainly help in producing magic wands," Abel commented, nodding at the almost-carved wand body.
Tony agreed, "You're right. Technology and magic are both pathways to exploring the universe's mysteries. In many ways, they can complement each other. Look ahead: beyond potions, we could further collaborate."
Their discussion was brief, and soon the first stage of wand processing was complete.
Abel extracted the wand body, now adorned with internal and external carvings, and began the next step: applying oil and allowing it to dry. However, he didn't stop there; he prepared various metals for secondary processing of the wand body.
For this second wand, Abel had new ideas. He aimed to enhance its strength so it wouldn't break easily and to incorporate a magic feature that would keep the wand within a specific range. As long as the wand remained within this range, it would automatically return to his hand if it strayed too far.
These modifications would help safeguard the wand from potential threats. For more powerful adversaries, however, Abel was confident in his ability to confront them head-on.
The wand itself wouldn't bear the ancient texts and circuits; instead, these would be strategically inscribed on the grip. The tip and middle of the wand would feature simple, interwoven patterns of magic circuits.
With Tony's assistance, Abel measured, melted various metals and materials, creating a highly magical alloy for the handle. Once the wand core was installed, the handle would be secured to the wand, effectively sealing it.
As the magic alloy handle cooled, Abel began preparing the heart of the evil dragon.
When Abel retrieved the box containing the dragon's heart from his storage bag, Tony was taken aback.
Though Tony had accepted the existence of magic, he paused momentarily to process the reality of creatures like evil dragons in this world.
Watching Abel carefully strip the heartstrings from the half-human-sized dragon heart on the test bench, Tony gazed at the large pot of dark red dragon blood nearby and sighed. "Since I met you, my understanding of the world has been constantly challenged. If a god were to appear before me one day, I might not even question it."
Abel smiled at Tony's comment, pausing for a moment before replying, "If a god appears, you might not need me to introduce you."
Tony chuckled, taking Abel's words as a joke, yet sometimes, truths can be disguised as humor.
Squeak...
Abel pulled out a white, tendon-like structure resembling blood vessels. Upon closer inspection, it appeared to be a slender nerve-like entity. Every dragon's heart contained only one of these heartstrings.
Abel marveled at the sheer power contained within the dragon's heart, noting that dragons in this world were significantly stronger than those in his previous life. In his past, dragons lacked wisdom, merely existing as magical creatures. Here, dragons were nearly an intelligent race, with formidable strength and substantial differences. Fortunately, their body structure remained similar, allowing for the identification of the dragon heartstring.
"Is this another vital component of the wand?" Tony asked, his curiosity evident.
Nodding, Abel replied, "Yes, this is essential—the dragon heartstring will serve as the wand's core. Next, I need to process it and integrate it into the wand body to complete the magic wand."
Time was of the essence for the dragon heartstring. Abel quickly utilized the carefully formulated potions and magic to transform it into a moderate white spiral structure.
With precision, he inserted the processed dragon heartstring into the wand body. Immediately, hair-like, white, nerve-like tissues emerged from the heartstring, connecting to the internal magic circuit synapses and the ancient texts. A closed magic circuit formed, marking the initial integration!
With a sigh of relief, Abel closed the wand body, affixed the cooled magic alloy handle to the grip, and used magic along with special craftsmanship to secure it. At last, he had completed the magic wand!
Cradling the wand in both hands, Abel examined it closely, and detailed data about the wand materialized in his mind.
It measured thirteen and a half inches long, crafted from a 12,000-year-old oak tree for its core, with the dragon heartstring as the wand's essence. The wand embodied durability, victory, strength, and authority!
The fierce nature of the dragon heartstring, originating from the heart of the evil dragon, was tempered by the spiritual balance of the ancient oak. The wand's body and core harmonized perfectly, stabilizing it for both black and white magic.
Relatively speaking, the wand leaned more towards enhancing black magic, while its white magic blessings were merely satisfactory. However, even the moderate white magic blessings were certainly more potent than Abel's previous wand.
Most importantly, the wand's nature resonated perfectly with Abel, enabling it to seamlessly channel all of his magic!
