Chapter 112: Chapter 112: Apostles of Darkness, A New Threat

This is... the mark of Dormammu! But aren't all of Dormammu's lackeys supposed to be sorcerers?

Moreover, in the movies, those sorcerer lackeys only developed the dark mark on their foreheads six years later, after they attacked the Kamar-Taj library and obtained the secret method to summon Dormammu.

So, what's the deal with these guys in front of me? Despite his confusion, Clark still regulated his breathing, turned the miraculous healing scroll in his hand into a stick, and prepared to strike with all his might at any moment.

In fact, these people had arrived here during his face-off with Hulk. It was Clark's perception of their malicious presence that caused him a momentary distraction, leading to Hulk's devastating punch.

He had originally thought they were experts from Hydra, but he hadn't expected these guys to be of such significant origin!

"Hehe, looks like we've found the right little guy," said one of the seven sorcerers, eyeing Clark up and down with his snake-like eyes before speaking condescendingly, "Kid, consider yourself lucky. My master is very interested in you."

Although they were in Russia, the language spoken was not Russian but the official universal language of the Marvel Universe, which is essentially English written and Chinese spoken, a miraculous kind of language.

After a brief pause, as if it were the most natural thing in the world, he continued, "Come with us. We'll take you to meet my master through a sacred ceremony. If the master is pleased, he might even grant you eternal life."

His tone suggested he was bestowing charity upon Clark.

Clark coldly smiled and knowingly asked, "And who is your master?"

The sorcerer frowned at the question but explained, "Watch your disrespect. My master is the ruler from the Dark Dimension, the lord of dark magic in the multiverse, Dormammu!"

"Dormammu?" Clark scoffed disdainfully. "He doesn't deserve my respect! Dormammu... what, is he supposed to be impressive?"

Clark's use of "chin" instead of something more respectful was indeed intentional, likening Dormammu to Thanos's chin.

Isn't it vivid?

Impression points from Chelsea Burney…

Impression points from Katchinsky…

Seven unfamiliar names appeared in a row, along with impression points ranging from two digits to six single digits, confirming to Clark that among these guys, only the sorcerer was a minor character from the story, while the rest, without exception, were nobodies not mentioned in the original work.

However, the aura emanating from these individuals indicated that none of them were of a low level.

Did his arrival cause some unforeseen changes in the storyline? While Clark pondered, the lead sorcerer's expression turned severe, "Daring to insult the master, then prepare to face the wrath of the Apostles of Darkness. Together, capture him and present him to the master, and we shall be granted eternal life!"

"Yes!"

With a uniform response, six figures charged at Clark, with the one wielding dual guns leading the attack.

He raised his guns and fired sixteen shots at Clark in quick succession. The bullets, enhanced by dark energy, traveled twice as fast as those from a regular pistol. What a bizarre tactic!

Clark was shocked but managed to turn his miraculous healing scroll back into a cloak, using it to block the dark energy-enhanced bullets with a flick.

However, to his surprise, the bullets' enhancement wasn't limited to speed; their power had also been geometrically amplified. Each bullet's impact on the cloak was comparable to a grenade, distorting the cloak into an odd shape and almost causing it to lose control.

Caught off-guard by this unexpected turn, Clark's defense was disrupted. Meanwhile, another officer rushed forward, throwing a punch directly at his face.

The terrifying speed and aggressive punch indicated that the officer's physical abilities had been amplified to the limit of human capacity, not to mention the dark energy surrounding his fist. Clark, not underestimating the attack, dodged and collided into the towering figure, using a martial arts technique called "Back to the Mountain" for a counterattack.

This technique, though obscure due to its impracticality and difficulty, proved effective in Clark's hands, allowing him to launch his attacker into the air with a burst of muscle power, causing him to spit blood.

Yet, Clark was frustrated to see that the officer, despite spewing blood, quickly recovered, indicating the dark energy's enhancement was not just a simple power boost.

If it were a one-on-one fight, Clark would have directly struck the officer's head with his stick, potentially killing him instantly. However, he refrained, as four more assailants, resembling bears in their build and aggression, joined the fray with grappling techniques.

These four were wrestlers, adding to Clark's troubles.

Clark managed to fend off one, sending him flying with a punch and a kick, but as he dodged another, a portal crackling with sparks and lightning appeared, hinting at a deeper trap.

In the moment Clark hesitated, the last assailant successfully grappled him from behind and executed a powerful suplex, smashing Clark onto the icy ground.

The other three quickly piled on, pinning Clark down firmly.
