Chapter 472: Both Identities Belonged to Him

'I am both Axel and Calix.'

The thought crossed Calix's mind as soon as he woke up the next morning. Unlike last night, the surrealism of this situation didn't affect him as much. 

Lowering his gaze, Calix saw Leslie still sleeping soundly, nestling her head on his chest. The warmth of her breath filtered through the light fabric of his pajama with every rise and fall of her chest.

Calix carefully adjusted his posture, allowing Leslie to be more comfortable in his arms. He glanced at the clock hanging on the wall, seeing the time had just hit six-fifteen in the morning.

'Seems like we've missed the sunrise.'

The sun had long ascended from the horizon but, his lady was still sleeping. He didn't have the heart to stir her awake, knowing she most likely needed more rest after what happened last night.

After all, he woke her up in the witching hour because of his nightmare.
