Chapter 12: New Record
Jace sighed in exasperation
"Again Ra? do you see what happens when you leap before you look?"
Hannah was shaking her head
"Can't do much about it now can we, since we're here we might as well give it all we've got." She determined resolutely
Ra was already pumped, with a thought a 3 foot long blade with dancing runic patterns materialised in his hand, he shot towards the larger of the two dragons even as it began rising in the air, shouting "LEEEEROYYYYYYY(jkjkjk)"
Ra didn't stop to think how he would hit the Dragon after closing the distance, but luckily Jace had already analysed the situation, circling the battlefield for a vantage point Jace began firing off broad shaft arrows, large enough to step on. Understanding immediately, Ra sprang up, lightly stepping from arrow to arrow until he was above the Dragons head, aiming downward with the point of his sword Ra unleashed a savage yell, dozens of miniature lights flashed in an inexplicable pattern illuminating his attack, he came down hard sword first between the Dragons neck spikes, brutally impaling it.
The Dragons wings spread wide and awkwardly as it began spiraling downward, and just as it was about to crash, Ra retrieved his sword, kicking off the Dragons neck in a beautiful dismount, The Dragon slamming into the ground behind him with a heavy thud before shattering into thousands of light particles.
"Too easy" he grinned
Jace rolled his eyes already assisting Hannah in her battle with the other Dragon, this one seemed to be much more clever than the one Ra had brought down, it spun and rolled in the air, tucking its wings it would execute aerial maneuvers that left Hannah and Jace dizzy as one cast spells to restrict its movement and the other shot arrows attempting to pierce its wings, neither accomplishing anything.
After watching for a while Ra joined in.
He ran parallel to the Dragons current downward descent, their paths intersecting the Dragon adjusted its body, its wings caught air as its head pulled back and its claws extended, Ra dodged between the Dragons legs slashing as he went, Hannahs spells bombarded the Dragons back causing Ra to yell out to her:
"Dragons are resistant to magic! find another way!"
He stood up from his roll before he was forced to immediately roll again to dodge the swipe from the Dragons tail, rolling beneath it he crouched after coming out of his roll gathering strength in his legs, he sprang up and practically hovering in the air he executed a series of slashes aimed at the incoming wing.
a sharp roar of pain exploded from the dragon as its wing made contact with the edge of Ra's sword, with its wing shredded it could no longer maintain flight, Hannah began firing off support spells, blinding the Dragon so it wouldn't see Jace's incoming arrows, The arrows Jace had fired seemed to be elemental magic but they were actually just energy arrows he had condensed with the surrounding mana, using energy rather than magic meant that the Dragon had no natural resistance against them, as such the arrows buried themselves in the Dragons scales puncturing its heart, and before it landed it shattered, exploding in light particles, in the sky appeared the words: [Victory] Time: 7:36:52 New Record!
