Chapter 149: Fear

Wilder Briggs was rooted to the ground, his eyes widened with disbelief. He was lucky to have his back turned to the Texas wall, if not, people would have seen the mixture of fear and disbelief in his eyes.

"How is it here? Why is it here?" Wilder's clenched fist tightened while his gaze turned cold.

The fight against Lei Fei was his closest brush with death. He had hidden those memories away, hoping to never remember that dreadful day, but now the past had returned to haunt him.

"Afraid, Wilder?!" The Beast Whisperer laughed hysterically while speaking from the safety of his Infernal Dragon's head.

He knew the memories attached to this beast, especially amongst old guardians. He was certain Wilder would react this way so he was deeply satisfied.

"Are you wondering where I got it from?" The Beast Whisperer asked with a cruel gleam in his eyes. "You should be more worried about who gave it to me!"
