After her interaction with Angelo, Dani couldn't help but wonder about him and who he was. She wanted to know whether he was really a witch because even behind the mask, even with the party lights and the blaring music, she couldn't help but wat more of him.

His beautiful brown eyes got her feeling something different, a new kind of excitement, it was almost as if her stomach was fluttering but she didn't believe that such shit could happen in real life, besides, it's not like the guy looked anything like a CEO with his sidekick in a fucking club looking for the fuck of the night.

He had looked plain, Dani tried convincing herself, but even she knew she was lying.

The guy looked like one of those people she read about in books, the men with whom she had fantasized about, the people she wished she would end up with even though she knew the probabilities were not in her favor, but that wasn't going to stop her.
