Chapter 8: 8. Kate's Birthday.
Today is Kate's birthday . As promised yesterday , Hazel and Kate were going to see movie today. Hazel didn't had any mood of going to movie but she could not refuse as it was Kate's Birthday today. And every Rose , she and Kate would celebrate it together. Kate didn't like to celebrate her birthday with her family .
Therefore, Hazel decided to celebrate her birthday .
They decided to meet at near by cafe . At the decided time they both meet each other. Hazel warmly wished her for her birthday. They took a cab to theatre. Kate had already booked the tickets. They enjoyed the movie . For lunch they decided to visit a nearby restaurant. After , so many stressful day they were feeling a bit good today. Though , Hazel was not in a good mood before going but now she feeling calm and relaxed. For few moments she had forgotten everything.
At restaurants, they ordered thier favourite pizza . Suddenly , while eating Kate stopped looking at the pizza. Some very strong emotional thoughts ran down her mind. This restaurant she used to visit when she very small and when her parents were together. After, their separation she used to visit this restaurant with her bestfriends. Randomly she said to Hazel," Thankyou so much for all this. Your presence had meant lot to me. But it would have been more nice if Rose also would be here with us like always . We three together." Like a flash of lightning, Hazel remembered about something. Her tongue was frozen do she just nodded her head. she eyes were filling with tears.
After a great lunch now it was time to go home . They decided to walk a little and than take a cab. While walking they chatting to each other in their own trance. Suddenly, water was splashed by the car which was stagnant in puddles due to heavy rainfall. The car which splashed the water stopped. The door of car opened and it's owner walked out. ohhh! It was ken . He walked towards them and apologized sincerely to them .
" I am very sorry for this ."- ken . "It's okay ." - Kate
" You two stay nearby? . I will drop you then"- ken . "No, actually we stay far away . we were here to celebrate Kate's birthday." - Hazel. "Oh, I didn't knewed it. Wish you Many many happy returns of the day Kate.". Kate said thanked him for wishes. Further, he asked him to wait a minute . Then ran away in the watch showroom near by . He returned with a bag in his hand which he handed over to Kate as her birthday gift.
Kate refused at first but then he insisted her. They greeted each other good bye ken had to return to do an important work where else Kate and Hazel had to return hone back.
