Chapter 36: CHAPTER 36
It was on introduction day, Mrs Olotun had been at her friend's house helped her with something and supervised those that were cook, so now they were in Mrs Tayo's room doing makeover for her. Sarana was with her friends dressing for her.
Mrs Olotun was helping Mrs Tayo to be tiering her Gale called head tie when her husband entered, wearing a cloth with the same colour with his wife.
"You have to be fast the time is going" Mr Tayo said.
"It remain small, we almost done!" Mrs Tayo said.
"Just be fast please! Don't let us be keeping people waiting"
"Okay my husband!, give us few seconds" Door opened and Bolu entered, It was the same colour that all of them in there house wore.
"Daddy! Alfa are in the living room!"
"Okay! We are coming now!"
"Yes Daddy!" He left and closed the door back
"You heard that, so be fast please!"
"Okay my husband!"
"Meet me at the living room, am going!"
"Okay! We almost done!" Mrs Olotun said and door closed.
"Please! Be fast my friend with this gale, don't let us be the one that is keeping them waiting!"
"Am done my friend, stand up!"
"Okay! It lovely!, let go!" Looking at the mirror.
"Let go! Iya iyawo!" Two of them laughed and left the room anf going to Sarana's room to tell them to be fast with everything that they were doing. Sound of the door opened.
"Sarana! Be fast, it's you that they are waiting for" her mother said.
"Yes Ma!, we are almost done!" One of her friend said.
"Adam has been there!" Sarana asked.
"I have not know yet, we too have not been here!"
"Okay! Give us some minutes Ma!" Another friend said.
"Okay! Just be fast!, don't keep people waiting"
"Yes Mom! We won't!" Sarana said.
"Let us be going my friend!" Mrs Tayo said and talking to Mrs Olotun.
"Okay!, Zinara and Olawale have been planning their own too!"
"It good!, Olawale has been here too Ma!" Sarana asked.
"Yes! Since morning!" Going out and sound of the door closed.
Adam, his father and his stepmother had been there, sitting on the same chair and drinking juice giving to them. Mrs Tayo and her friend got down to the living room and greeting everybody.
"Welcome Alfas!, we are here!" Sat down on another chair.
"You are welcome and we thank God for today!" One of the Alfa said.
"Mother too is here!" Adam said and talking to his father.
"May be she is a friend to your wife's mother!" His stepmother said.
"I think so! Step mom!" They sat opposite to each others.
"No wonder my heart is always connected to this boy, so he is my son and lied to me that his mother had dead or that is what Yusufar told him!" Mrs Olotun was saying it to herself. Sarana and her friends came out sat down on the chair put asides for them and an Alfa stood up.
"Allihamudulilahi! We thank God for today!"
"Yes! We thank God!" Everybody said in chorused.
"As we know that today is the introduction!, welcome all the Yusufar's family. We greet you all with honor!"
"Thank you! And we greet you too!"
"God that have brought this two family together won't separate them!"
"Ameen! Ameen!!" People said including Sarana too.
"We give glory to God for today!"
"We thank God! And thank you Allah!"
"So now from the list in my hand and from the wife's family, I introduced the wife's father to you. Mr Tayo!"
"I greet everybody and our in-laws!" Raised his hand up.
"You are welcome!" Adam's father said.
"Mrs Tayo, as wife's mother!"
"I greet everybody!" Said with smiled.
"Mrs Olotun, as the wife's mother's friend"
"I greet everybody! And Welcome here!"
"The small father of the wife!, Bolu!"
"Good morning everyone!, I greet you!" Stood up and sat down.
"And the last person, Titi as the wife's younger sister!"
"Good morning!" Satt down and everybody laughed.
"From the husband side, they too had gave me their list, told me to call it. The husband's father is Mr Yusufar!"
"I greet everybody and nice to meet you all!"
"And the person that remained for the husband as mother, Mrs yusufar!" Referring to his stepmother.
"I greet everybody and nice to meet you!" She was still talking when Mrs Olotun stood up, she couldn't held it and just sat down.
"Am the husband's mother and I am here!" She shouted and all of them looked at her with surprised, Adam's father looked at her wit bed eye.
"What is going on?" Sarana asked
"Am Adam's mother and no one can represent me!"
"Woman! What is your problem?" Adam's father stood up.
"I have to stand as the mother for my child!"
"What is going on please!" Olawale said and everybody stood up, they had been seeing it like it was a serious issue not as they thought.
"Woman! What if you are not here!"
"And I thank God that am here! Yusufar, it's God that made it to be that it's my friend's daughter that my son want to marry to!" Said with anger.
"You have a girl with you right!, so anytime she is doing wedding use your husband as her father. She is standing as his mother for today!"
"No way! I can't sit down and take that nonsense!"
"Okay! Okay!! Fine, where is my daughter? Call her out and introduce me to her as her father now!"
"She is not here okay!"
"Then call her on the phone and order her to come now!"
"She is at the orphanage house!" Said with lower voice.
"Go there, find her and bring her here, I want to see my daughter!"
"I will go! Let finish what we are here for first!"
"Please everybody!, this introduction has change to Sunday. It can't take place today again, thank you for your understanding!"
"Why did you changed it?" Mrs Olotun asked.
"Go and find my daughter and bring her here on Sunday, today is Friday so I give you today and tomorrow to look for her and bring here here because you can't stand as the mother without introduce me to my daughter or don't let me see her!"
"Okay! Your daughter will be here on Sunday!" Said with lower voice, she had never knew where to start or may be the child could be find.
"Good!, Adam let go home. Meet you again on Sunday!" Going out and all of them were looking at them still the door closed. Sarana didn't even knew what to say and others too from Tayo's family.
