Chapter 1: 0's box

ever since I was 17 I lived in a box it had nothing but a toilet in it. I had no memory of family nor friend I couldn't even keep track of time since the room never changed it had no lights yet was dazzlingly light at all points in time. I would count to as long as I could then put the seconds into minutes then hours at my 24th hour a small slit would open in the middle of one of the walls and it would shoot a bar as hard as a brick straight at me I would always dodge as I was used to it i had to learn fast or I would surely be dead if I hadn't. It would always try to hit me and I mean always even whilst i slept however this rock hard substance was my only source of food and nutrients it keep me moving and breathing I guess, as for water well that was one of my worse-er memories anytime I was thirsty or even felt mildly parched another whole would open but this one was circular it would spurt water at skin cutting speeds however what makes it worse is that I couldn't dodge no matter where I moved it was horrible the water would last until I no longer felt thirsty but it was very hard to drink when I had water jetted at me constantly. However I was used to my quaint life to me it was normal around the 435th day no matter where the brick would come from I could always catch it even in my sleep and the water was no longer skin cutting it was almost like a tickle I was impressed by myself as I was no longer bullied by my box as I could withstand what it had to offer however if you add to much yin in yang it becomes unbalanced and would break the cycle which is what happened to me my brick(self named)would no longer come at the time I was used to it would come later or earlier leaving me to adapt although it didn't hurt quite like it used to but I couldn't endure the pain I had no choice but to adapt and heighten my senses not to follow a routine but to be alert at all times
