Chapter 1: Prologue The Purple Ninja

I used to watch Ninjago as a kid but I only watched bits and pieces of it, but recently I felt like watching it again and decided to write a fanfic while I watch.

As usual it will be a Yuri story so yeah. This time it won't be a harem, as for who the love interest is? Who knows, maybe I'll let you guys choose.

The air crackled with anticipation. The airship, a sleek, obsidian vessel emblazoned with the overlord symbol, hung suspended above the bustling city of Ninjago. The city, a vibrant tapestry of neon lights and towering skyscrapers, pulsed with a frantic energy, oblivious to the impending doom.

Inside the airship, a figure stood silhouetted against the panoramic view. Her purple gi, the color of twilight, flowed around her like a silken shroud. Her face, hidden beneath a hood, was a canvas of shadows, her eyes, the color of amethyst, gleaming with a fierce determination. This was Jade, the Purple Ninja, the one who had trained alongside Sensei Wu before the four ninja were chosen, the one who had been entrusted with the legacy of the First Spinjitzu Master.

Jade was a paradox. She was a force of nature, a whirlwind of power, yet she moved with the grace of a phantom. Her skills were honed to a razor's edge, her mastery of Spinjitzu surpassed even the legendary Green Ninja, Lloyd Garmadon. But she was also a silent observer, a guardian angel watching over the city, her true strength hidden beneath a veil of humility.

She had chosen this path, this life of quiet power, for a reason. She had watched the four ninja, Kai, Jay, Cole, and Zane, grow from fledgling warriors to formidable fighters, and she had seen the potential within them. She knew that they were the key to defeating Lord Garmadon, the embodiment of darkness, the one who threatened to engulf Ninjago in his shadow.

But she also knew that they needed to learn, to grow, to become stronger on their own. She couldn't simply swoop in and save the day, not if she wanted them to truly become the heroes Ninjago needed. So she had chosen to conceal her true power, to become their mentor, their guide, their elder sister.

She had been there for Lloyd, guiding him through his tumultuous journey, teaching him the ways of Spinjitzu, instilling in him the courage and determination he needed to face his destiny. They had forged a bond, a connection that transcended the mere master and student dynamic. She was his mentor, his confidante, his sister, the one who understood the burden he carried, the weight of his legacy.

She knew that Lloyd was the Green Ninja, the one destined to face Lord Garmadon. She knew that their destinies were intertwined, that their paths would converge in a final, epic showdown. She had seen it in the visions of the First Spinjitzu Master, a vision of two figures, one green, one purple, standing back-to-back, facing the darkness together.

But she also knew that Lloyd could not face Garmadon alone. He needed the strength of the other ninja, their unwavering loyalty, their unwavering belief in him. She had taught them, trained them, pushed them to their limits, all for this moment, for the day they would stand together against the darkness.

The airship shuddered, the engines roaring to life. Jade felt a tremor of anticipation, a surge of adrenaline coursing through her veins. The time was near. The overlord was on the move, his army poised to strike. Ninjago was on the precipice of chaos, and the fate of the world hung in the balance.

She looked down at the city, a kaleidoscope of lights and life, and a pang of sadness pierced her heart. She knew that the city would be plunged into darkness, that the lives of countless innocent people would be shattered. But she also knew that she could not stand idly by. She had to act, to protect the city, to protect her friends, to protect her brother.

She reached out, her hand hovering over the control panel, her fingers tingling with power. She was ready. She was the Purple Ninja, the one who would stand with Lloyd, the one who would fight alongside the five ninja, the one who would protect Ninjago from the darkness.

The airship ascended, slicing through the night sky, leaving a trail of smoke and fire in its wake. Jade felt a surge of power, a wave of energy coursing through her veins. She was ready to face the darkness, to fight for the light, to protect the city she loved.

The battle was about to begin.

____

As the airship soared through the night sky, Jade sat in the cockpit, her eyes fixed on the city below. The lights of Ninjago shimmered like a million stars, a beautiful and fragile tapestry of life. But beneath the surface, a darkness was brewing, a storm gathering strength.

She could feel it, the surge of overlord energy, the whispers of evil, the growing shadow of Lord Garmadon. He was coming, and with him, the promise of destruction.

Jade closed her eyes, focusing her mind, drawing on the power of the First Spinjitzu Master, the power that flowed through her veins, the power she had chosen to conceal. She could feel the energy swirling within her, a force of nature, a tempest of power. But she held it back, suppressing it, channeling it into a quiet, unassuming presence.

She had to be patient, she had to wait for the right moment. She knew that Lloyd was the key, the one who would ultimately defeat Garmadon. But she also knew that he needed the support of the other ninja, their strength, their courage, their unwavering belief in him.

She had trained them, pushed them to their limits, honed their skills, and instilled in them the courage they needed to face their fears. She had been their mentor, their guide, their elder sister, the one who had always been there for them.

She had seen them grow, seen them evolve, seen them become the heroes they were destined to be. But she knew that they were still young, still learning, still growing. They needed to experience the challenges, to face their fears, to learn from their mistakes.

She could not simply swoop in and save the day, not if she wanted them to truly become the heroes Ninjago needed. She had to let them fight their own battles, to learn from their own experiences, to find their own strength.

She knew that her role was not to be the hero, but to be the guide, the mentor, the one who stood behind them, ready to support them, to protect them, to help them achieve their destiny.

She opened her eyes, her gaze fixed on the city below. The lights of Ninjago were a beacon of hope, a testament to the resilience of the human spirit. She would protect them, she would fight for them, she would stand with them against the darkness.

The airship continued its journey, cutting through the night sky, a silent guardian watching over the city below. Jade sat in the cockpit, her heart filled with a mixture of anticipation and determination. The battle was coming, and she was ready.

____

The airship landed on the outskirts of Ninjago City, its shadow falling over the bustling marketplace. Jade stepped out, her purple gi blending seamlessly with the shadows. She watched as the five ninja disembarked, their faces etched with a mixture of excitement and apprehension.

"Ready?" Kai asked, his voice a mix of bravado and nervousness.

"As I'll ever be," Zane replied, his voice calm and steady.

"Let's do this," Cole said, his fists clenched, his eyes gleaming with determination.

"We'll get through this," Jay said, his voice laced with a touch of uncertainty.

Jade smiled, a faint flicker of warmth in her amethyst eyes. They were ready, as ready as they could be. She had trained them, pushed them to their limits, and instilled in them the courage they needed to face their fears.

"Let's go," she said, her voice a low rumble, a whisper of power.

They walked towards the city, their footsteps echoing in the quiet of the night. Jade walked beside Lloyd, her hand resting lightly on his shoulder. She could feel his tension, his anxiety, the weight of his destiny pressing down on him.

"You're doing well," she whispered, her voice a balm to his troubled mind.

Lloyd nodded, a flicker of gratitude in his eyes. He knew that she was right, that he was stronger than he thought, that he was ready to face his destiny.

They reached the outskirts of the city, the air thick with the scent of fear and anticipation. The overlord army was gathering, their numbers growing, their power rising. Jade could feel their presence, a dark tide of evil, a force that threatened to engulf the city in darkness.

She looked at the five ninja, their faces etched with determination, their eyes burning with a fierce resolve. They were ready, they were prepared, they were ready to fight.

"This is it," she said, her voice a low rumble, a whisper of power. "This is where we stand, this is where we fight."

She drew her dual tanto, the blades shimmering in the moonlight, a symbol of her power, a promise of protection. The five ninja followed suit, their weapons drawn, their eyes fixed on the approaching overlord army.

The battle was about to begin. The fate of Ninjago hung in the balance. And Jade, the Purple Ninja, the one who had chosen to hide her power, was ready to fight for the city she loved, to fight for her friends, to fight for her brother.

She was ready to fight for the light.

___________

The overlord army surged forward, their numbers overwhelming, their power undeniable. The five ninja fought bravely, their skills honed to a razor's edge, their determination unwavering. But they were outnumbered, outmatched, and outgunned.

Jade watched, her eyes narrowed, her hands resting on the hilt of her tantos. She could feel the pressure, the growing desperation, the fear that was creeping into the hearts of the five ninja.

She knew that she had to act, that she had to intervene, that she had to help them. But she also knew that she had to be careful, that she had to choose her moment, that she had to let them fight their own battles.

She watched as Lloyd, the Green Ninja, faced the overlord general, a towering figure of pure evil. Lloyd was fighting bravely, his Spinjitzu skills honed to a razor's edge, but he was struggling. The overlord general was too powerful, too relentless.

Jade could see the fear in Lloyd's eyes, the doubt that was creeping into his mind. She knew that he was on the verge of breaking, that he was about to give in to the darkness.

She had to act, she had to intervene, she had to help him. But she also knew that she had to be careful, that she had to choose her moment, that she had to let him fight his own battles.

She watched as Lloyd stumbled, his energy waning, his resolve crumbling. The overlord general moved in for the kill, his weapon extended, his eyes gleaming with malice.

Jade could no longer stand by. She had to act, she had to intervene, she had to help him.

She drew her tantos, a flash of purple light cutting through the darkness. She moved with the speed of a phantom, her movements fluid and graceful, her power overwhelming.

The overlord general turned, his eyes widening in surprise. He had never seen anything like it, a force of nature, a tempest of power, a whirlwind of purple energy.

Jade struck, her tantos a blur of motion, her power unmatched. The overlord general was caught off guard, his defenses crumbling, his power waning.

He fell, his body dissolving into a cloud of purple smoke.

The five ninja watched in awe, their eyes wide with disbelief. They had never seen Jade fight like this, never seen her true power, never seen the force of nature that she truly was.

Jade turned to them, her eyes filled with a quiet intensity. "You're doing well," she said, her voice a low rumble, a whisper of power. "But you're not finished yet."

"Jade? Jade, wake up....Jade!" A young boy's voice shouted at a girl who looked slightly older than him. The young girl stirred awake and rubbed the sleep out of her eyes.

Jade: "Wu? What's up, kiddo? Got a nightmare or something?" Jade smiled at him and got out of bed.

Wu: "Garmadon went outside!" Jade immediately became alarmed upon hearing that and got dressed in her purple gi, grabbing her dual tanto.

Jade: "When did he go outside? And why?" Wu tells her how they were sparring and how he accidentally got his katana knocked over the wall of the monastery.

Garmadon went to retrieve the katana, as Wu was too scared, and found it easily. Before he could pick it up, he was bitten by a strange green snake and passed out.

Jade: "I'm late! Garmadon, hold on!" Jade picked up Garmadon and carried him back to the monastery.

Wu: "Is he going to be okay?" Wu looks at his brother with a sad look on his face. Jade looks between Wu and Garmadon.

Jade: "He'll be fine, Wu. We just have to believe in him and help him." "I don't remember much but I remember that because of the bite, he's going to slowly turn evil."

Wu looks at Jade, who has a serious look on her face.

Wu: "Jade? Are you okay?" Jade smiles at him and pat his head.

Jade: "I'm fine kiddo. Just thinking."

Wu: "What are you thinking about?"

Jade: "About someone I used to know....." Jade smiles sadly.

_______________

Jade walks around on the roof with a serious look on her face. A woman show up behind her and bonk her on the head.

Woman: "What got you all serious? You're normally relaxed." Jade turns around and see her friend and girlfriend.....Nineko.

Jade: "Hey Nineko..... Just thinking about a lot of things."

Nineko: "Not that I don't like your serious face, but you being relaxed suits you more." Jade chuckles.

Jade: "Yea well you just like my face-"

First Spinjitzu Master: "Nineko! Where did you take one of my Katana?!" The shout made both of them jumped.

Nineko: "I didn't take it!" Nineko tries to defend herself, Jade tried to defend her girlfriend but the First Spinjitzu Master didn't believe them and it makes Nineko realise that he'll always think of her as a thief and she left him.

Nineko: "You should come with me. We don't need him." Jade shakes her head and smiled sadly.

Jade: "I wish I could.....But I saw that I'm needed here." Nineko sighs but nodded in understanding.

Nineko: "I hope that we'll meet again one day." Jade nods and they shared one last kiss together and that was the last time Jade saw her.

Wu: "Jade? Are you there?" Jade got lost in thought but snapped out of it when she heard her name being called.

Jade: "I'm here. Was just thinking about the past. Now how about we do some training? You can't be lagging behind for when Garmadon heals up. You gotta show him how much you improved." Jade grin and they went to train together until eventually Garmadon heals up, but he's not his usual self, he's more distance and more aggressive.

______________________

The air hung thick with the scent of incense and the gentle hum of the wind chimes. Wu, his back straight and his face etched with worry, paced the length of the Monastery's training hall. His eyes, usually filled with a quiet wisdom, were troubled, their gaze fixed on the ornate scroll unfurling in his hands.

"It's happening again, Jade," he murmured, his voice low and strained. "The whispers are growing louder. The darkness… it's stirring."

Jade, cloaked in the shadows that clung to her like a second skin, emerged from the darkness. Her eyes, a deep, crimson purple, glowed with a faint light in the dimness.

"He's the key, isn't he?" Jade asked, her voice a soft whisper, tinged with a hint of steel. "The only one who can truly defeat Garmadon."

Wu nodded, his face grim. "He has to be out there. He has to be the one who can bring balance back to Ninjago."

"And what about the others?" Jade asked, her gaze sweeping over the empty training hall. "The Elemental Masters. They're still out there, scattered across the land, unaware of the danger that looms."

"I'm working on it. I found four who have the potential." Wu sighs.

Jade moved closer, her shadow falling over him like a shroud. "You can't do this alone, Wu. You need help."

"I know," Wu said, his voice heavy with weariness. "But who can I trust? The world is filled with darkness, and even those closest to me… they might not be who I think they are."

Jade's gaze hardened. "You know I'm not afraid of the darkness, Wu. I embrace it. It's my power, my strength. It's what allows me to see the truth, even when it's hidden in the shadows."

Wu hesitated, his eyes filled with a mixture of concern and respect. "You're different, Jade. You walk the line between light and darkness. But I fear that line is becoming blurred. Garmadon's influence… it's insidious. It can corrupt even the most noble of hearts."

"I know the danger," Jade said, her voice unwavering. "But I also know the power of my blood. It can fight the darkness, Wu. It can be the weapon we need to defeat Garmadon."

Wu sighed, his shoulders slumping. "I know you're strong, Jade. You're the most powerful ninja I know. But I fear for you. Garmadon's power is growing, and he's targeting the golden weapons. He wants to use them, use them against us."

"He won't get me," Jade said, her voice laced with a hint of defiance. "I'll fight him. I'll fight for Ninjago, for you, for the light."

Wu placed a hand on her shoulder, his touch gentle but firm. "I know you will, Jade. But be careful. Garmadon is cunning. He'll try to exploit your power, to turn you to his side."

"I won't let him," Jade said, her gaze unwavering. "I'm stronger than he is. I'm stronger than the darkness."

Wu smiled, a spark of hope flickering in his eyes. "Together, Jade. Together."

__________

The next morning, Wu and Jade set out from the Monastery, following the whispers that led them deeper into the heart of Ninjago. The journey was long and arduous, filled with danger and uncertainty. But Jade, with her mastery of shadow and blood, was a formidable companion. She could sense the whispers, even when they were faint, and her power allowed them to navigate the treacherous paths and avoid the watchful eyes of the Overlord's minions.

One night, as they camped under a star-filled sky, Wu looked at his sister, her face illuminated by the flickering firelight. "I never thought I'd see the day when we'd be fighting side by side again, Jade. I thought we'd lost each other."

Jade smiled, a hint of sadness in her eyes. "I thought so too, Wu. But the whispers brought me back. They told me you needed me. They told me Ninjago needed me."

"And you're here now," Wu said, his voice filled with gratitude. "And that's all that matters."

Jade nodded, her gaze fixed on the flames. "I'm here, Wu. And I won't leave until we've defeated Garmadon. Until we've brought balance back to Ninjago."

Wu reached out and placed a hand on her arm, his touch warm and reassuring. "I know you won't, Jade. I know you'll fight for what's right. Just like you always have."

Jade smiled, a flicker of warmth in her deep violet eyes. "I'll always fight for what's right, Wu. Always."

The air hung heavy with the scent of rain and the promise of a coming storm. Wu, his weathered face etched with worry, paced the bustling marketplace, his eyes scanning the faces of the crowd. He clutched a worn scroll in his hand, its edges frayed with age. He stopped, his gaze settling on a small stall selling steaming dumplings.

"Jade," he whispered, his voice barely audible over the din of the marketplace. "Have you found anything?"

A figure emerged from the shadows, cloaked in a purple robe that seemed to shimmer with a faint, almost imperceptible glow. Jade, her face hidden beneath a hood, moved with a grace that belied her steely gaze. Her eyes, the color of deep violet, scanned the crowd with a practiced ease.

"Nothing yet," she replied, her voice a low murmur.

They continued their search, their movements like phantoms in the crowded marketplace. Jade, with her mastery of the poison element, moved with an almost supernatural agility, blending seamlessly into the shadows. Wu, despite his age, moved with a surprising swiftness, his eyes constantly alert.

"There," Jade whispered, her hand gesturing towards a small alleyway. "I sense a tremor in the earth. It's subtle, but it's there."

They followed the alleyway, the scent of spices and damp earth filling their nostrils. At the end of the alley, they found a young man, his back to them, his hands in his pockets. He was clad in simple, worn clothes, but his aura was one of quiet strength.

"Cole," Wu murmured, his voice filled with a sense of hope. "He have the potential to be the earth ninja."

Jade, her eyes narrowed, watched the young man as he lifted a large rock with surprising ease, his movements fluid and controlled. "He's strong," she observed, her voice laced with respect. "But he seems lost, uncertain of his path."

Wu nodded, his gaze filled with compassion. "He needs guidance, a sense of purpose."

"He needs to find his center," Jade added, her voice soft. "To connect with the earth, to understand its power."

"That's what we're here for," Wu said, his voice firm. "To guide him, to help him find his place in the world."

He stepped forward, his voice gentle but firm. "Excuse me, young man. Are you Cole?"

The young man turned, his eyes wide with surprise. He was tall and lean, his face framed by dark, unruly hair. He wore a leather vest over a simple shirt, his hands calloused and scarred.

"Yes," he replied, his voice gruff. "Who are you?"

"My name is Wu," Wu said, extending a hand. "And this is my sister, Jade."

Jade, her face still hidden beneath her hood, offered a slight nod.

Cole hesitated for a moment, then shook Wu's hand. "Cole," he said, his voice still gruff but with a hint of curiosity. "What brings you here?"

"We're looking for someone with a special gift," Wu said, his eyes twinkling. "Someone who can control the elements."

Cole's brow furrowed. "What do you mean?"

"We're looking for the four elemental masters, a fire ninja, an earth ninja, an ice ninja, and a lightning ninja," Jade said, her voice low and smooth. "And we believe you have the potential to be one of the elemental master."

Cole's eyes widened in disbelief. "I'm not a ninja. I'm just a simple guy."

"But you have the power, the potential." Wu insisted, his voice firm. "The power flows through you. You just need to learn how to control it."

Cole looked from Wu to Jade, his face a mixture of confusion and apprehension. "I don't understand. What do you want from me?"

"We want to train you," Wu said, his voice filled with sincerity. "To help you harness your powers and become a true ninja."

Cole hesitated, his gaze fixed on the ground. He was clearly torn between his desire for a normal life and the allure of a power he didn't fully understand.

"I'm not sure," he finally said, his voice hesitant. "I've never thought of myself as a ninja."

"You don't have to," Wu said gently. "You just need to be open to the possibility. To trust in your abilities."

Jade stepped forward, her voice soft but firm. "We're not asking you to abandon your life. We're offering you a chance to learn, to grow, to become something more."

Cole looked at Jade, his eyes meeting hers for the first time. He saw a strength in her gaze, a wisdom that belied her age. He felt a sense of trust, a feeling that she understood him, that she wasn't trying to manipulate him.

"I need time to think about it." he said, his voice still hesitant but with a hint of hope.

"Of course," Wu said, his smile genuine. "We'll be here when you're ready."

They turned to leave, their shadows lengthening in the fading light. Jade, her hands resting on the hilt of her tantos, paused for a moment, her eyes fixed on Cole's retreating figure.

"He's a good one," she murmured, her voice barely audible. "He has the potential to be great."

Wu nodded, his heart filled with a sense of hope. "We just need to help him find his way."

Their journey continued, their search for the other ninjas leading them through the bustling city, their movements like phantoms in the shadows. They found Zane, the ice ninja, in a quiet library, his hands tracing the intricate patterns of a frozen snowflake. He was a young man of few words, but his eyes held a depth of wisdom that belied his age.

"He's a good one," Jade said, her voice low and approving. "He's focused, disciplined, and his potential is impressive."

Wu nodded, his gaze filled with admiration. "He's also kind, compassionate, and fiercely loyal."

They found Jay, the lightning ninja, in a bustling electronics store, his hands tinkering with a complex circuit board. He was a whirlwind of energy, his mind constantly racing, his hands always moving.

"He's a handful," Jade said, her lips twitching with amusement. "But he's also quick-witted, resourceful, and his potential over lightning is impressive."

Wu chuckled, his eyes twinkling. "He's also a bit of a prankster, but underneath it all, he's a good kid."

They finally found Kai, in a town called Ignacia, in blacksmith shop called Four Weapons Blacksmith.

Wu walks into the shop. "Hmm your metal is loud and heavy. Useful for slowing down, useless for the art of stealth. All tools for a samurai." Wu hits a samurai armor with his staff. "But nothing for a ninja?"

The young man chuckle. "Ninja? Heh you're long ways to finding a ninja in these parts old man. And the shop is called Four Weapons not for browsing. Either buy something or pedal your insults somewhere else."

Wu laughs and turned to leave. "Heh! Too bad, thought I'd find something special here."

"He's a wild one," Jade said, her eyes narrowed in amusement. "But he's also brave, and courageous, he have the potential."

Wu nodded, his gaze filled with pride. "He's stubborn but he have the heart of someone who never gives up, the one who always fights for what he believes in."

Jade smiles but she suddenly turn and look serious. "Skeletons, lots of them. They have Garmadon's aura around them. He must had sent them to find the map to the weapons." Wu runs back with Jade following close by.

Wu starts fighting the skeletons but one of them threw his weapons to a water tower, breaking it and making it fall towards Kai, the young blacksmith. Wu used his spinjitzu to save Kai but the skeletons took Nya, Kai's sister. Jade wanted to chase after them but Wu shakes his head signalling her not to.

Kai: "You could had save her with your twisjitzu or whatever!" Kai is visibly angry and stressed out, Wu tells him the story of the First Spinjitzu Master. The four weapons and how the children of the First Spinjitzu Master had fought each other due to the older one turning evil and wanting to use the four weapons himself, the younger brother had managed to win against the older and peace was restored, but now the older sibling is trying to get his hands on the weapons again and he had tasked the job to the skeletons. Kai wanted to go after the skeletons to save his sister but Wu took him down easily, showing that he is no match to the skeletons. Which is why now Kai is climbing the side of a mountain in order to get to the top and train so he could save his sister.

They had found them, the four ninjas. Now, the real work began.

"We need to train them," Wu said, his voice firm. "To teach them how to control their powers, how to work together, how to become a team."

Jade nodded, her eyes gleaming with anticipation. "We need to teach them how to fight for what's right, how to protect the innocent, how to become true ninjas."

"It would be a lot easier with your help, sister." Wu said, his voice hopeful.

Jade's smile faltered. "I'm not sure I'm the best teacher, brother. My methods are….unconventional to say the least."

Wu raised an eyebrow. "Unconventional? Or perhaps just a little unorthodox?"

Jade laughed, a light and airy sound that dispelled the shadows that had gathered around her. "Perhaps you're right, brother. Perhaps I just like to do things my own way."

She turned to leave, her long, violet hair flowing behind her like a silken river. "I'll see you in the morning, brother. And don't worry, I'll try to be a little more… conventional with the ninjas."

As Jade disappeared into the shadows, Wu watched her go, a wistful smile on his lips. He knew that Jade was hiding something, something deep and painful, but he also knew that she was a good person, a strong and compassionate soul. He had faith in her, and he hoped that one day she would find peace and happiness in the world.
