Chapter 157: Maxwell Family Head

Looking at Angela, the family head was shocked as for the first time in his life, he had seen Angela determined and caring about something.

Angela's eyes were burning with determination and for the first time in her life, she felt that she had something that she needed to do and would fight for.

If Adam was willing to go so far as to risk his life to get her to the family head position, she also needed to work hard for it and take it on board, instead of ignoring all her responsibilities like she previously would.

She knew that Adam was mostly doing so for his own gain, but they were friends and Adam had made her realise that the Maxwell family wasn't being run well and that she was a prime example of that.

She was raised completely wrong and had been given everything with a silver spoon. This made her and most others in her family weak and complacent and she felt that it was finally time for a change.
