He had become very confused and also anxious after hearing that all of the gold and system points might no longer exist, since he had worked and saved them up for so long and was planning to spend them on things that would greatly increase his power.

Adam went to the point of not converting any gold into money in reality and also being quite reserved with his system points, which was why he was so worried about losing all of what he had saved.
