Chapter 2: Chapter 2: Weird Incident
"wait" Celestia suddenly said
"hmm? what happened, weren't you the one who eagerly wanted to head back a minute ago?" asked Aira with a confused face.
"my clothes.... they are soaked with blood, how can I go home like that?"
"your clothes? isn't Akira already used with you sometimes coming back home fully covered in blood from head to toe?" she asked with a dumbfounded look.
Celestia just gave her a look that said 'how do I even know someone as dumb as you??' then she set down on the floor, covering her face and said in a grievance tone"remember the last I did that, I passed by a man who started screaming when he saw me covered in blood...."
"But thankfully he was a drunkard, even after quite a few people gathered, they'll didn't believe him and as it seemed that he was a drunkard and he had done things similar to this many times before as well also it seemed that he was familiar with them so they just calmed him down a bit and drove him back to his house"
Aira seemed as if she finally understood and made a proud look while saying "then how about riding my back. You know the place that I was originally from, people would not mind giving up their fortune just to be able to touch me, you're lucky that I made you my mast-NO I MEAN FRIEND!!" she got really flustered at the end of her sentence.
Celestia just gave the same look that she did before and questioned "are you questioning my IQ right now? It's the modern world, not some old-age world that you came from. The technology here sometimes terrifies even me, it's easy to find a person that's hiding in the shadows and here you are telling some like me who is on the Top-Tier-Wanted list to do something like that. Are you sure that you still have even a tiny bit of intelligence??"
"Also, you were not actually not going to say friend just now weren't you? You were going to say something like... Master?" she looked at Aira suspicious.
Hearing this Aira got even more flustered as she tried her best to change the subject "Wh-w-WHAt You MEaN even sOmeoNe liKe you sOmeTImes get scARed of soMETHing?! An ability HolDEr LikE yourself?"
Hearing this Celestia just looked amused "well, even an ability holder such as myself am scared of the unknown you know. After all, you never know when they develop some kind of a new invention" she proudly exclaimed "also I think I told about this before, but when you lie to those that you are close to, your voice keep switching from high pitch to low pitch and then the cycle continues"
"LIAR doesn't say that you are scared with that weird smile on your face that literally screams 'bring it on'"
"oh-my don't call my charming smile weird" she said smiling brightly.
"HUMP- you narcissist" she just snorted
"Sooooo... what's the thing with me being a master.. if my knowledge serves me right I don't think I had never any kind of ritual with you" she asked confused.
"Don't compare our species's contract ceremony with those you see in your anime, manga and Otome game. And why does a killer like you like these kinds of things anyway??!"
"I dare you to insult them again and you will suffer," she said with a dark look" and why does it really matter if a killer also does things a normal human does? Killers also have a sense of enjoyment you know..... oh also what does your contract ceremony requires?"
"Oh, it's just-" before she could continue they heard a sound which made them be on guard, it was coming from near the road. This made both of them alert.
"did you sense the person.. cause I never did" Celestia mouthed
Aria just shook her head, indicating a no.
Then they just heard a continuation of loured but swift footsteps which caused them to take their battle stance.
BUT- then something strange happened, after opening her eyes, she was in the middle of the road in the middle of nowhere, it was a place she had ever seen in her years as a killer. Her first thought she was having a delusion so she tried blinking a few times. But the scenery didn't change!
Then a bad premonition started creeping up her heart. It was a feeling that she had never even experienced during her time as a killer. A feeling that made to feel that it might be a lot better to die than keep feeling it. It was truly terrifying.
After like the 7th blink, she just saw a truck nearly just 1 cm ahead of her. Being unable to think of anything she just used her darkness and wind ability combined to push away the truck... But Surprisingly It Had Absolutely No Effect On It!!!!!
The only thing that she next felt was a sharp pain spreading all over her whole body, soon her body started turning cold and the next second she lost consciousness
Until the end, the only thought that was running in her brain was 'WTF was that?!!??'
