Chapter 31: Chapter 29- A glimpse in the future

*SCREECH*

"What was that?"

Aleina curiously questioned after the squealing noise of the tires screeching right across the road.

She saw a parade of cars dashing away in a hurry making the same ear piercing sounds from the screeching of the tires.

"Um, Aleina. Can you please accept these flowers?"

The gentle yet nervous voice of the charming young man standing beside her with a bouquet of roses in his hands, worked in breaking Aleina's gaze from the road.

'Oh god! How do I deal with this now?'

Aleina was exasperated from the proposals and flowers which she kept getting day after days. She didn't like these romantic gestures, not because she was arrogant about her beauty but because of the fact that these proposals were based on just her appearance; her enchanting good looks. These proposals were not because of character or personality and that is what she didn't like about receiving such infatuated gestures.
