Chapter 112: Tears

Mai squirmed in her sleep, the cold air made her sleep even more. The faint ringing of a very familiar voice. The girl's hand fumbled on the small table beside her bed, her eyes still closed. As she recalled this was not the sound of the alarm she had set. The noisy flat object reached her just as the ringing stopped.

Mai slowly opened her eyes, still sleepy, her eyes felt sticky. She vaguely looked at the numbers printed on her cell phone. It's just past four. Who called her at this blind dawn. Three miscalls in Thomas's name were listed there along with a message from the boy. Why was Thomas bothering her so early?
