Chapter 33: Surpassing The Sanins

The clash between Tsunade and Kabuto reached a point where both were down on their knees...

"Looks like I need to give her a bit more of a beating, just not enough to finish her off..." Kabuto thought, attempting to gather chakra in his hand, but to no avail...

"Why's my leg moving when I'm trying to move my hand!?" Kabuto questioned himself, unable to control his hand. "Could it be...?" Just as Kabuto began to ponder, he was sent flying by a punch from Tsunade...

"Looks like this is all I can do for now..." Tsunade thought, watching Kabuto struggle to his feet.

"Interesting..." Orochimaru smirked.

"It's not about muscle power... It's all nerve work..." Kabuto figured out.

"So, you've figured it out... Yes, it's not about muscles, it's the nerves!" Tsunade confirmed... "I converted chakra into electricity... created an electric field, and sent electricity down your nerves." Tsunade explained.

As time passed, Kabuto managed to regain control of his body, albeit not perfectly, and charged towards Tsunade who was healing herself. He was surprised at how quickly he could move despite everything.

"You're scared of blood, aren't you?" Kabuto taunted, charging towards Tsunade with a kunai, only to be stopped by a sudden puff of smoke surrounding Tsunade, sending him back...

"You might want to rethink that..." Naruto advised, appearing alongside Jiraiya, Shizune, and her pet pig, Tonton.

"Jiraiya..." Tsunade uttered in astonishment...

"It's been a while, Jiraiya..." Orochimaru greeted.

"Orochimaru... Still wearing that sinister grin, I see... " Jiraiya replied, a smile gracing his lips as Orochimaru smirked in response.

Naruto turned to Kabuto, "You're that guy from the Chunin exam who bailed, right? Working for Orochimaru from the get-go, huh!" Naruto declared.

"You caught on quicker than I thought, impressive... " Kabuto retorted, smirking.

"Oh, so you two have crossed paths before... " Jiraiya observed.

"Just shared the exam hall together, nothing more..." Naruto clarified.

Before Jiraiya could reply, Tsunade lunged at Kabuto, unleashing a flurry of attacks...

"Despite mastering your movements, it doesn't mean you can dodge like a pro... " Tsunade taunted, persistently attacking Kabuto who was struggling to evade.

As Tsunade swung a punch at Kabuto, he reacted by slashing his hand with a kunai. Blood began to trickle out, and the sight sent Tsunade into a panic, her feet trembling.

"Finally regained control over my body..." Kabuto announced.

"Blood!" Tsunade gasped in a terrified and anxious voice.

"Facing two legendary Sanin is quite a predicament, isn't it?" Kabuto provoked, stepping forward to punch Tsunade but was intercepted...

"Ever heard of manners, pal? You don't lay a hand on a lady..." Naruto interjected, landing a kick in Kabuto's stomach that sent him flying...

"Shizune-neechan, get Tsunade to safety and try to heal her... I'll handle these guys... " Naruto instructed.

Shizune assisted Tsunade to a nearby rock for safety and began the healing process...

Kabuto, having recovered from Naruto's kick, rejoined Orochimaru's side...

"Naruto, you deal with Kabuto. I'll take on Orochimaru..." Jiraiya volunteered, stepping up.

"Hey, are you sure you can fight in your state...?" Naruto asked, concern evident in his voice.

"I'll manage... But first, I need Tsunade to fix me up... " Jiraiya requested.

"The drug's effects could linger... can't do much... " Shizune warned.

"What? Seriously?" Jiraiya exclaimed, taken aback, "Well, nothing to do but fight as I am... "

"Or you could just chill and watch me beat them. But Orochimaru's yours for now." Naruto quipped.

"Alright, let's get this show on the road... " Jiraiya said, beginning to form hand seals, with Kabuto mirroring his actions. Simultaneously, they slammed their hands on the ground... "Kuchiyose no Jutsu" both shouted in unison.

A cloud of smoke formed and once cleared, Kabuto and Orochimaru stood atop a monstrous snake...

Meanwhile, Jiraiya, having performed the same technique, ended up summoning a small toad "Hey there, it's been a while..." The toad greeted as Jiraiya stared at it in disbelief....

"Master Jiraiya's chakra still hasn't fully recovered..." Shizune pondered...

Orochimaru smirked at the sight, "Seems like your injury hasn't quite healed, Jiraiya. You're pretty helpless without your power. Tsunade's handywork, I presume?"

"A sacrifice was needed for that Jutsu, maybe she drugged him to suppress his powers as a precaution... " Kabuto theorized.

"Typical Tsunade, willing to sacrifice Jiraiya…" Orochimaru mused.

"I'll bring my summon into play, you can spar with it until you're back in form and can summon your own!!! " Naruto proposed. He performed hand seals, slammed his hands on the ground and a gigantic black snake with white markings, matching the size of Kabuto's, materialized. Jiraiya and Naruto perched on it...

"That kid mastered summoning at such a young age... Remarkable..." Orochimaru thought...

"Seems like you're mentoring your student my way, Jiraiya...." Orochimaru taunted.

"Sure, sure... But I still maintain that Toads are superior summons...and that won't change... " Jiraiya shot back...

"The snake always devours the toad, Jiraiya... " Orochimaru retorted.

"I'll let you use my summon until you can call yours, sensei. I'll take on Mr. Four-eyes first... "Naruto suggested...

"Hey, Ouroboros... Why don't you assist Jiraiya sensei for now..." Naruto instructed.

The serpent simply signaled its assent...

Orochimaru gave Kabuto a teasing grin, and with that silent permission secured, Kabuto dismounted their serpentine transport, launching himself towards Tsunade who was still in the process of healing herself...

"Really, you think you can just waltz in and attack her while I'm here...?" Naruto interjected.

"Naruto, stand down, this isn't your fight, keep out..." Kabuto retorted.

"Naruto, step aside, I can handle him..." Tsunade asserted as she rose to her feet...

Instead of complying, Naruto glanced back, "No... If you're itching to help, go assist Jiraiya-sensei. I want this guy all to myself..." He made his intentions clear.

"Your focus should be on me while we're in combat..." Kabuto warned, lunging with his kunai towards Naruto. However, his assault was effortlessly thwarted by an unseen force, and Naruto seized his wrist...

"You're too slow...Kabuto..." Naruto taunted.

"What ... You ... " Kabuto stuttered, but before he could finish, Naruto delivered another blow to his midsection, sending him sprawling...

"Don't speak until I say you to..." Naruto said...

"But..." Kabuto tried to speak again, only to be cut off by Naruto's dismissive wave.

"Shush! Didn't I just tell you? No talking. Try to keep up, will you?" Naruto's voice was light, almost playful despite the serious situation. A smile tugged at the corner of his lips, a stark contrast to Kabuto's growing frustration.

Barely catching his breath, Kabuto lunged again. This time, he threw a barrage of shuriken. Naruto, however, didn't even bat an eyelid. Unseen forces deflected the shuriken with an easy grace, leaving Naruto untouched.

"Still slow, Kabuto..." Naruto said lazily, He stretched, yawning exaggeratedly. "You know, I was expecting more from you."

Kabuto gritted his teeth, his frustration mounting. He felt as if he was fighting against an impenetrable wall that was Naruto.

"Enough games!" Kabuto growled, rushing forward with a chakra scalpel. But before he could even come close, Naruto was behind him, a hand placed gently on his shoulder.

"Is this your best?" Naruto asked, his voice laced with disappointment. "I expected more from you, Kabuto. Really, I did."

In an instant, Kabuto felt an immense force pushing him off his feet and crashing into a tree.

"Maybe you should take a break, Kabuto," Naruto suggested, his eyes never losing their gleam. "Not everyone can handle my pace, after all."

...

Tsunade reached Jiraiya who was standing over Ouroboros, on the other hand, Tsunade summoned Katsuyu, the slug.

"Jiraiya, are you okay?" Tsunade asked, her concern evident in her voice.

"I'm...fine," Jiraiya managed to say, though his body felt heavy due to the drug Tsunade had given him.

Jiraiya took control of Ouroboros. The snake immediately hissed, ready for battle.

The fight began with a deafening roar. Manda lunged towards Ouroboros, who slithered away with great speed. Orochimaru, with his injured hands, directed Manda from a distance, his eyes gleaming with sinister intent.

Meanwhile, Tsunade and Katsuyu focused on defense and support.

Despite his condition, Jiraiya skillfully maneuvered Ouroboros. He made the snake dodge and weave through Manda's attacks, occasionally retaliating with a powerful tail whip or a quick bite.

At one point, Manda managed to land a hit, its fangs sinking into Ouroboros' body. However, the wound began to regenerate right away, much to Orochimaru's surprise.

"Your tricks won't work, Orochimaru!" Jiraiya shouted, as Ouroboros The snake hissed, its body glowing as it prepared to unleash a powerful blast of energy which hit Manda.

The powerful blast of energy from Ouroboros collided with Manda, causing the giant serpent to reel back in pain. The force of the attack sent Manda crashing into the ground, creating a massive crater.

Orochimaru's eyes widened in shock as he witnessed the damage inflicted upon his summoned beast. He realized that his control over Manda was weakening, and he struggled to maintain his hold.

Meanwhile, Tsunade and Katsuyu continued their defensive efforts, using their slug abilities to shield. Tsunade's medical expertise combined with Katsuyu's regenerative abilities provided crucial support to Jiraiya and Ouroboros.

As the battle raged on, it became apparent that Manda's strength was waning. The injuries inflicted upon him by Ouroboros and the relentless teamwork of Tsunade and Jiraiya were taking their toll.

With a final burst of determination, Jiraiya commanded Ouroboros to unleash one last devastating attack. The snake coiled its body, gathering an immense amount of chakra.

As Ouroboros released its attack, a massive wave of energy surged towards Manda, engulfing the serpent completely. The force was overwhelming, and Manda let out a deafening roar before dissipating into thin air.

Just as the dust settled, Ouroboros vanished into thin air. The creature had been summoned by Naruto for the second time and its time had run out.

The battlefield fell silent as the summons disappeared, leaving only the lingering traces of chakra in the air. Orochimaru stood in shock, his plan thwarted and his summon vanquished.

...

Kabuto lay sprawled on the ground, groaning as he pushed himself up. His eyes narrowed at Naruto's relaxed form, a mix of annoyance and confusion written all over his face. "What...what are you?" He gasped out, still trying to catch his breath.

Naruto just chuckled, shaking his head lightly. "I'm just me," he replied cryptically.

With a swift motion, Naruto was in the air, defying gravity as if it was the most normal thing in the world. "You see, Kabuto," he began, his voice echoing around them.

Kabuto watched in disbelief as Naruto casually flipped in the air, landing gracefully on the ground.

His frustration boiled over, and he launched himself at Naruto, chakra scalpel in hand once more. But just like before, Naruto was behind him, his voice whispering in his ear.

"Still not fast enough, Kabuto."

The force that followed sent Kabuto flying once more. He crashed into another tree, the impact leaving him breathless. Naruto watched him with a hint of amusement, his hands casually tucked into his pockets.

"You know," Naruto mused, his eyes gleaming brighter, "I could do this all day."

Kabuto grunted, pushing himself up again. He was tired, frustrated, and above all, confused. But he wasn't one to give up. He was a ninja, after all. And no matter how strange Naruto's abilities were, he was determined to figure them out.

He charged once more, refusing to admit defeat. But Naruto was always one step ahead, ready to counter any attack Kabuto might throw his way.

"Looks like you need to train a bit more, Kabuto," Naruto said lightly. "But don't worry, I'll be here whenever you're ready for round two."

...

With a last, determined glare at Naruto, Kabuto turned his attention to where Orochimaru was struggling against Jiraiya and Tsunade. The sight of his mentor in such a state fueled his resolve. He had to get them out of there.

"Hidden Shadow Snake Hands!" Kabuto shouted, thrusting his hands forward. From his sleeves, a myriad of snakes burst forth, each one laced with deadly precision and venom. They slithered towards Jiraiya and Tsunade, forcing them to momentarily withdraw their attention from Orochimaru.

Seizing the opportunity, Kabuto sprang into action. With an impressive burst of speed, he dashed towards Orochimaru, reaching out to grab him. The snakes provided a perfect distraction, keeping Jiraiya and Tsunade at bay while he focused on his rescue.

However, Naruto, who had been watching from afar, wasn't about to let them escape that easily. With a lazy grin, he vanished from his spot, reappearing in front of Kabuto and Orochimaru.

"Going so soon?" Naruto asked, his voice light. "And here I thought we were just getting to the fun part."

Before Kabuto could react, Naruto had already pushed them back with an invisible force, his Six Eyes technique activating. Kabuto could only grit his teeth as they were thrown back, the force of Naruto's technique too strong to counter.

As they skidded to a halt, Kabuto looked up to see Naruto standing there, his eyes gleaming. "Looks like your escape plan needs a bit of work," Naruto said, his voice echoing in the silent battlefield.

"Kabuto, you're not thinking big enough," Naruto advised, a smirk playing on his lips. "But don't worry, I'll be here to remind you every time you fall short. So, ready for round three?"

"I'm not sure about you, but in my eyes, he's gone beyond us..." Tsunade expressed, her gaze fixed on Naruto.

Jiraiya turned to Tsunade, his gaze softening. "I think you're right, Tsunade," he admitted. "Naruto has grown stronger than both of us."

Kabuto's fists tightened, his gaze flickering between Naruto and Orochimaru, his mind buzzing with exit strategies. Naruto, flanked by Jiraiya and Tsunade, seemed chilled, like he already knew how this would end.

Orochimaru, conversely, was winded, his wounded hands shaking. His eyes brimmed with annoyance and shock. He'd miscalculated Naruto, and now they were on the back foot.

"Kabuto," Orochimaru wheezed, "We must pull back. This fight...isn't ours to win."

Kabuto gave a reluctant nod. It stung his pride, but Orochimaru was correct. They were outgunned by Naruto's uncanny powers, not to mention two of the legendary Sannin.

Their only choice was to fall back and live to fight another day.

"Naruto, You will pay for what you did today..." Orochimaru said.

With a swift movement, Kabuto pulled a smoke bomb from his bag and tossed it on the ground. A dense fog immediately filled their area, hiding them from sight.

Yet, Naruto's keen eyes detected their presence. However, before he could act, Kabuto deftly maneuvered through the essential hand signs, and they vanished in an instant...

Chapter 34: Facing The Harsh Reality...

"No..." Naruto's cry echoed, a powerful gust of wind following his shout towards the dissipating smoke. When the smoke cleared, there was no one there...

"He's gone, again..." Naruto's frustration was evident as he mulled this over. Sensing his distress, Jiraiya placed a comforting hand on his shoulder. "It's alright, Naruto... There will be more opportunities... Let's not lose sight of our main objective, which is to bring Tsunade back to the village with us..." Jiraiya reminded him.

"Right... Sasuke and Kakashi-sensei require urgent medical attention... We need to head back to the village soon..." Naruto agreed, his focus shifting from the recent clash.

Jiraiya concurred with Naruto's plan...

"Tsunade, you're coming back with us to take up the mantle of the 5th Hokage..." Jiraiya announced.

Tsunade, stepping forward to face Naruto, nodded in agreement. "Naruto..." She began, drawing the focused gaze of the young ninja.

Extracting a delicate necklace from her neck. It was a token of her grandfather, the First Hokage. The necklace was more than a mere accessory; it was a symbol of her faith and resolve.

She extended her hand, the necklace dangling between her fingers. Naruto's eyes widened as he looked from Tsunade to the necklace and back again.

"Really? For me?" Naruto asked, a blend of shock and excitement in his voice. His usual happy-go-lucky demeanor was replaced with a serious intensity, a unique characteristic he displayed during critical moments.

Tsunade nodded, her eyes soft. "Yes, Naruto, for you. This is a symbol of my faith in you, and a reminder for you to stay strong..." Tsunade declared, her voice steady and determined.

Naruto slowly reached out, his fingers gingerly closing around the necklace. He flashed his trademark grin, his blue eyes twinkling with renewed resolve. "Wow, this is heavy with responsibility...and history!" Naruto said, his voice full of awe and respect.

"But I like heavy stuff," he added, his grin broadening. "It gives me a challenge. And I never back down from a challenge!"

With that, Naruto carefully placed the necklace around his neck, his eyes shining with unyielding determination.

And with that, the team continued on their journey back to the village, their spirits high and their resolve unbroken.

Once they made their way back to the village, Tsunade found herself swamped with countless obligations that came with being the Hokage...

As part of these responsibilities, she had a meeting with the village elders...

"Pore over my words, Tsunade..." an elder woman from the village began, "We must summon the feudal lords and broadcast the appointment of the fifth Hokage. Let's initiate the preparations for the inauguration ceremony in the village today." The elder woman continued as Tsunade attentively listened.

"All this talk of feudal lords and ceremonies is just a major nuisance." Tsunade responded.

"Tsunade... !" The elder woman chastised.

"I get it, I get it, this too is part of the Hokage's duties." Tsunade conceded.

"Genma! - Aoba!" The elder woman called out, and two ninjas promptly appeared, bowing in greeting, "You two, issue an official announcement and make sure everyone in the village is informed in the coming days. We must introduce the fifth Hokage." The woman instructed.

"Understood, Madam." The ninjas replied in unison and quickly departed from the scene.

The discussion between Tsunade and the village elders came to an end and Tsunade, accompanied by her aide Shizune, left the meeting. As they were leaving, they ran into Naruto.

"Hey there, Granny Tsunade!" Naruto greeted with a wide grin on his face, his eyes sparkling with mischief. Despite his carefree demeanor, his respect for Tsunade was evident.

"Naruto, what brings you here?" Tsunade asked, looking at him with a mix of amusement and exasperation.

"Well, I just thought I would remind you about healing Sasuke, Kakashi-sensei, and Rock Lee. You did promise, after all." Naruto replied, a dash of seriousness edging into his tone. Despite his cheerful personality, he never failed to remind people of their promises.

Tsunade sighed. "I haven't forgotten, Naruto."

"Not to rush you or anything, but they're really important to me. We're a team, you know?" Naruto's voice held a firm conviction. His playful demeanor was replaced by earnestness, showing the depth of his care for his friends.

"I understand, Naruto. Healing them is my top priority." Tsunade reassured him.

"Great to hear, Granny!" Naruto exclaimed, his usual cheer returning. "I'll be on my way then. Lots to do, you know!" He waved cheerfully and dashed off, leaving Tsunade and Shizune watching after him.

"That boy..." Tsunade began, shaking her head fondly. Naruto's boundless energy and undying loyalty to his friends were traits she admired. She knew she could learn a thing or two from him.

"I think he's quite refreshing." Shizune commented, a small smile playing on her lips. "He reminds us of our duties in his own unique way."

"Yes, he does." Tsunade agreed. She couldn't help but smile as she thought of the young, energetic ninja who was so full of life. She knew that, with Naruto around, there would never be a dull moment.

After meeting Tsunade, Naruto headed straight to Minato's safehouse. Now that his identity was known to the villagers, Naruto planned to move into the safehouse.

Naruto had already been there once before with Hiruzen, who had given him the keys to the house.

The safehouse was heavily fortified with various security measures using Fuinjutsu. It was practically invisible, and no one with knowledge of its existence could even think of finding it, let alone entering it.

Upon entering the house, Naruto noticed that it needed some tidying up and cleaning. With Karin's assistance, Naruto took on the task of sprucing up the place.

Despite the need for a little maintenance, Minato's safehouse was a hidden treasure nestled between Konoha's bustling marketplace and training grounds.

Its exterior seamlessly blended with the natural surroundings and featured traditional architecture. Inside, the spacious two-story residence boasted an open-plan living area, kitchen, and study on the ground floor, while four simple yet functional bedrooms occupied the upper floor. The house's strategic location and unassuming design made it the perfect hideout.

"So this is your new home, Naruto," Karin remarked.

"Yeah, it's my father's house," Naruto replied.

"What about your old apartment where you used to live?" Karin inquired.

"Well, Jii-chan said I could keep the apartment and do whatever I want with it," Naruto explained.

"Do you think I could stay there until I find my own place here?" Karin asked.

"Of course, why not?" Naruto responded.

"Thank you, Naruto," Karin expressed her gratitude.

After finishing their work on the house, Naruto went to the village market and purchased various necessary items for decorating the house. He made some changes according to his personal preferences, transforming it into a place that felt like home.

By the time they were done, it was already evening. Karin prepared dinner for both of them, and they enjoyed a meal together. Afterwards, Karin returned to Naruto's previous apartment, where she would be staying for the time being.

The next morning, Tsunade, accompanied by Shizune and Naruto, arrived at the Konoha Hospital. They made their way to Sasuke's room, where Sakura was sitting by his bedside.

"I'm coming in," Tsunade announced as she entered the room, catching Sakura's attention.

Sakura stood up, observing Tsunade's beauty, and asked, "Who are you?"

Naruto entered the room and greeted Sakura, "Hey, Sakura! Long time no see. How's Sasuke doing?"

"He's still the same, no improvement," Sakura replied with a hint of concern.

"No problem, Sakura. Tsunade is here, and I'm sure she'll fix him in no time," Naruto reassured her confidently.

"Who is she?" Sakura asked, curious about Tsunade's identity as Tsunade bypassed her to check on Sasuke.

"She is one of the legendary Sannin, Senju Tsunade," Naruto explained, smiling proudly.

Observing the flowers in the room, Tsunade thought to herself, "Those two flowers aren't from the same day... So, this kid comes here every day, huh?"

Sakura turned her attention back to Tsunade and said, "I've heard about you from Guy-sensei. Please save Sasuke."

"Leave it to me," Tsunade replied confidently.

Tsunade placed her hand, brimming with green chakra, on Sasuke's forehead. After a few moments of waiting, Sasuke opened his eyes.

"Sasuke-kun!" Sakura exclaimed, tears welling up in her eyes.

Sasuke sat up, and Sakura rushed to him, embracing him tightly. "Sasuke-kun..."

Naruto smiled at the heartwarming sight and walked towards the door. "Now, let's go see the next patient," he said, signaling Tsunade and Shizune to follow him.

Tsunade turned her attention to Kakashi, who was sitting on the bed. "How disgraceful! To be taken down by two insurgents. And here I thought you were a genius," she scolded him.

"I'm sorry," Kakashi apologized.

"Alright, let's move on to the next patient," Naruto commented.

"Yeah, please hurry up and take a look at my disciple, Lee!" Might Guy exclaimed as he stood just outside Kakashi's cabin.

As they walked down the hall, they spotted Rock Lee, who was walking with crutches in his hands.

"Lee!" Guy called out, and Lee turned to look at them. "I brought Lady Tsunade here," Guy informed him.

Tsunade observed Rock Lee from head to toe and asked Guy, "That is your disciple?"

"Yes! My beloved, beloved disciple," Guy proudly confirmed.

"I see," Tsunade responded.

"Okay, Grandma Tsunade, I'll leave then. I have to go meet with Iruka-sensei," Naruto said.

"Alright, go on," Tsunade replied with a smile.

As Naruto left, Tsunade and Guy focused on Rock Lee's condition, ready to provide the necessary medical attention.

...

Meanwhile, Naruto waited for Iruka to arrive in front of the Ichiraku Ramen shop. He had been looking forward to meeting his old sensei, but Iruka was running late.

After some time, Iruka finally arrived at the designated spot.

"Hey, Iruka-sensei, you're late," Naruto commented.

"Sorry, sorry. There were a lot of things to do with respect to the Fifth Hokage," Iruka apologized as they both entered the shop.

From a small distance, someone was watching them.

"Thanks for waiting," Teuchi, the owner of the ramen shop, said as he served ramen to both Naruto and Iruka.

"Thanks for the ramen," Naruto expressed his gratitude as he started eating.

Iruka watched Naruto and smiled. "You've come a long way since becoming a shinobi," he remarked.

"Yeah, but there's still a long way ahead," Naruto replied as he continued enjoying his ramen.

"That's right," Iruka agreed, his smile filled with pride.

"Alright, Naruto. Pay attention for a sec," Iruka said, a stern expression on his face as he looked at Naruto, who returned his gaze. "Yeah, Sensei?"

"The situation in the Leaf Village is pretty grim at the moment. Starting from our 3rd Hokage, we've lost a bunch of our top shinobi. Our current strength is just about half of what it usually is! But, we still gotta get our jobs done."

"So, things are tough, huh? Well, tell me what I gotta do then," Naruto replied.

"That's the spirit," Iruka replied, a smile forming on his face.

...

At Konoha Hospital, Tsunade was examining Rock Lee.

"I'm not gonna sugarcoat it. You should quit being a shinobi," Tsunade declared to Rock Lee, as both he and Guy were taken aback by her words.

A silence fell over the room as everyone was stunned by her statement...

"Come on, Lady Tsunade. You can't be serious," Guy protested.

"Your bones around vital nerves are fragmented and deeply embedded. You're no longer physically capable of carrying out shinobi missions."

"Hey, Lady Tsunade, stop messing with us..." Guy pleaded.

"But even if I performed surgery... " Tsunade began.

"Wait a minute! You're not Lady Tsunade! You're an impostor using a transformation jutsu, aren't you? Who are you really?" Guy interrupted, shock and disbelief in his eyes...

Tsunade glanced at him, while Shizune gently placed a hand on his shoulder, shaking her head...

"Do I... Do I have any chance?" Rock Lee asked.

"Even if I could do the surgery, it would take too long… and it's extremely risky," Tsunade explained.

"Risky?" Guy inquired.

"There's a 50% chance the surgery could be successful, at best. And if it fails... You'll die," Tsunade stated.

Both Rock Lee and Guy paled at her words...

Guy remembered the past month and more - despite being injured, Lee never stopped training and worked hard to make a comeback. But now...

"You should consider quitting as a shinobi and finding a different path," Tsunade advised.

"Lee..." Guy murmured.

Rock Lee rose to his feet, picked up his crutch, and left the room.

"If I knew it would end up like this, I wouldn't have brought him to you," Guy said.

"Don't say that..." Shizune started, but Tsunade cut her off.

"I know it's hard, but it's better he knows the truth now. The longer we wait, the harder it'll hit him," Tsunade said.

Guy could only stare at the floor in disbelief and sadness...
