Chapter 43: Hugo Lover Appears (Chapter 43)

In the previous Chapter 42,

Danny takes some food for Joe.

These actions were caught by the other people seated at the same table with Joe and Danny.

Joe says, "Thank you but I can take it for myself."

Other people gossip about Joe and Danny. "Where did these 2 come from?"

"Who invited them?"

"Such a disgrace to sit with them."

Joe hears their conversation and feels uncomfortable.

Danny doesn't care about their gossip; he just wants to eat and enjoy.

Adeline's mind raced with a thousand questions, but before she could say anything, the man released her hand and disappeared into the crowd, leaving her standing alone in the center of the ballroom.

Adeline was stunned.

Robert approaches Adeline. "May I dance with you?"

Adeline smiles.

Robert whispered to her ears, "Why are you left alone?"

Adeline says, "Later we talk. Stay alert."

Robert noticed Adeline's expression was very worried.

Robert says, "Do you want to dance or shall we go to the table?"
