Synopsis
Hu Ke was born mute, but she was good at playing the piano, chess, writing, and drawing. Her parents treated her like a princess for twenty years. Unexpectedly, their family business went downhill, and they faced bankruptcy. Hu Ke's parents couldn't take it and chose to commit suicide. On her parents' burial day, Hu Ke was drugged by her eldest brother and brought to a man's bed because the man had an extremely noble status and could help the Hu family out of their mess!
After a night of sex, Hu Ke found herself pregnant with the man's baby. Her eldest brother forced her to blackmail the man into marrying her.
How could the man let himself be manipulated by such a cunning woman? He wanted to exact revenge on this mute woman by letting her know about the crime she had committed.
After they got married, the man made an announcement. "From today on, you are not allowed to go out. Otherwise, we'll get a divorce!"
He wanted to keep her trapped in the house and deliver the child before leaving as stipulated in the contract!
However, Hu Ke refused to listen to him. She went out whenever she wanted. Compared to him, she wanted the divorce more than anything.

Hu Ke tried to avoid other men, but they insisted on approaching her. None of them wanted to keep a distance from her.
When the contract was up, Hu Ke happily prepared herself to sign the divorce papers. However, she found that the man had gone missing. When she arrived home, she found him drunk on the couch. He was even silently crying. The man looked at Hu Ke with a sad face. "Honey, I don't want a divorce."

A unique story with a female lead that is considered a disable but with so much more to offer and doesn’t let her disability hold her back from pursuing what she wants even in the midst of trouble. It has a fresh twist to the theme “contract marriage”. the story is off to a good start and hope the character development will continue to improve.

I have not started yet but just wanna say the synopsis made me kick my bad and shouting like crazy in the middle of the night ahhhh the last part where it says he was crying 😂😭

I enjoy this story. The main character is cute and shy and has been dealt a treacherous hand, but very strong.

Wow, I'm truly speechless. This ML is definitely one of the worst I've ever read. Her brother drugs her and the ml, then sends her to his bed. She's also a victim here. She was also raped by him, but he pushes all the blame on her. He's so dumb and egotistical (she came to deliver a handwritten contract she painstakingly wrote for 2 hours, and he, without even looking at her, assumes that she came to deliver herself to his bed. And when he finds out he doesn't apologize! He never apologizes. He continues to make the same mistakes again and again. In fact, let me list out his mistakes: 1. He doesn't actually investigate what happened that night in the hotel. 2. He keeps calling her a mute, and when he finds out his thoughts were, "I can't believe a mute schemed against me." 3. He knows she's unable to speak. Therefore, she can't defend herself in an argument. The poor girl uses her phone to type, but what does he do? This MF throws her phone to the ground. 4. He keeps on belitling her. As in when she accidently falls on him, instead of caring for her or at least his unborn child, his first sentence is, "Have you watched too many Idol dramas?" Ohhhhhh, how i hate this man. 5. He keeps on saying that she's scheming on every little thing that she does. Poor FL bakes a cake for fun, and he says, "Is this your new method to attract my attention?" I mean, she's never even spoken to him (you know what I mean) nor given him the time of day. 6. Finally, her job is like a recipe creator for a bar she cofounded. She has a secret identity called Fox. And everyone lovess her unique drinks. Naturally, the ml is no exception. ( ml has an ability where he can't taste anything, but the fl's drinks give him the ability to taste for at most 2-3 minutes.) He sees her at the club on one of the top floors where only staff are able to go, and he immediately assumes she went to the club to have fun with men. Proving in his head that she is a promiscuous and scheming woman. I wouldn't normally read something like this, but I can't wait till he finds out the truth and immediately regrets and begs for forgiveness. I wish I could go inside and beat this MF to death.
