Chapter 153: Fire in the Water

While the mermaid tries to collect herself together, she looks around looking very confused.

"I think I was in the water a second ago."

"No, you've been passed out for minutes now. I'd like to ask, what were you doing here?"

Since Kris is in charge of the boring interrogation process, I decided to sit this one out and sat next to them on the floor.

"I..."

Just when her hand touched the icy floor, she noticed something was odd.

"This... is ice? But it's not cold."

"Yeah, it's a weird magic. But leaving that aside, why did you illegally entered the territory?"

When Kris asked her that, she didn't answer this time and simply caressed the black ice floor that I made with my magic.

"This... it's Dark Magic."

She turns her attention to me for some reason.

"Is this yours?"

"Yea-"

Just before I could finish my words, something hits my back which launches me off and out of the pavilion and into the sea.
