Chapter 124: The Test

A man in white greeted her cordially. She had never seen him before.

"Come, we will have to inspect you so that we can be sure."

"Sure of what?" she asked. She didn't know what honorific to use as the man had not thought it suitable to introduce himself.

"That you don't try to bring any items of magical origin into the test. This is a scientific community."

Serenica could not argue against that. It was a reasonable request.

"You have your scalpel, good. Any medications needed will be provided to you," the man said, directing her into a dressing room, where a surprising figure of a woman was bent over, cleaning the floor.

It was Hialda. She acted all weird, as though she didn't know Serenica.
