Chapter 204: We Are Not Your Friends

"I believe Claire intends the gesture to be friendly," Cody said matter-of-factly. "Correct?"

Claire jumped on his explanation eagerly. "Yes, exactly. I am trying to be friendly. I'll text you about a good time when it gets closer." 

"We are not your friends," Finn said firmly. "We do not need you to be friendly with us."

Geez, this guy seriously needed to get over himself! She didn't come all the way out here on her day off and spend so much time helping them for this degree of attitude. Alex wasn't even here! Why was he being this moody? 

She was about to retort when Carmen elbowed him in the stomach. It didn't look like there was a lot of force behind it but he winced. "Don't mind him. He doesn't speak for the rest of us. We appreciate your help and friendly gestures."

The others nodded in agreement with her and spoke in unison. "Yes. Thank you, Claire."
