Chapter 193: She Is My Family

Alex listened to Claire answer everyone's questions up until it was time to go to bed because she needed to wake up early. The others were used to lights out at 9 so they all went to sleep then too. 

He was on edge, concerned that someone would try something against her while she was asleep for the sake of vengeance, but was able to drift off to sleep eventually. Until he was woken by the sound of the door opening at 3 AM. 

He leapt into action in a flash and knocked the perpetrator down instantly. Cody looked up at him blankly, not fighting back at all. "I take it this isn't the upstairs bathroom."

Alex hopped off of him. "No. Next door to the right."
