Chapter 82: Are You The One Trying To Kill Me?

Claire spent over a week reading every book she owned because that was one thing she never did with Alex so it couldn't remind her of him as much. It wasn't 100% effective at keeping her from worrying about him but it was better than sitting around moping without a distraction.

After a while she ran out of material—she really didn't own that many books—so she headed back into her mom's closet. She was pretty sure there were some books in there somewhere.

She found them on top of a shelf but before she could reach high enough to grab them she accidentally knocked a coat off of a hanger. When picking it up she smoothed it out and noticed something she missed during the initial search. There was something slightly hard in the left pocket.
