Chapter 52: What have they done to you?

Ellie finally stepped out of her hiding place, bucket in one hand, and washcloth in the other.

Her face was marred with a frown as she walked toward the guards positioned in front of the cell.

Her feet came to a halt right in front of them, and she tilted her neck, lifting her head up to look them in the eyes. 

"I need to get in there." She spoke, settling her gaze on the most intimidating one, and pointing to the locked double doors behind them.

"What for?" He questioned.

"To clean, obviously." She waved the cloth in front of him as if he needed that action to understand her words.

"The cleaner was here earlier. She has done the job and left. How come you're here to clean again?" The second guard asked, narrowing his eyes at her.

"Because I'm being punished… By Master Storm. And my punishment is to clean the cell again." Ellie responded, sounding angrier than she did when she arrived.
